Wow I'm really impressed by that font adjustment. I thought that might have ended up being a hurdle you weren't going to be able to overcome.

Now where are the rest of you people that want to help finish this thing!? Us few pitching in can't do this all by ourselves, you know. Tongue

Well, I have been studying japanese for a couple of months, but I hardly think I'd be of much help at this time. If at a certain point I have improved enough to be of some assistance I will help 4sure.

edit: And btw. Very impressed by the font adjustment indeed!

well, im living in japan and have been studying for 3 years now.

problem is im pretty much busy, but if u have some small stuff or questions, try to hit me with something.

i have to be honest though. i tried 2 months ago to help some guys translate xenogears from the english script in consideration with the japanese script to german and i couldnt handle it with my time frame. so whole bunches of text are dame, but perhaps i can help with menus or names from spells or whatever. if u have interest just try and mail me, im glad if i can help cuz i really love the games and u have my respect dealing with that load of text and shit to work on, *THUMBSUP* =)

Can some one post a script of the game? I am going to start playing the psp version and see how much different it is from the ps2 version. If there is not much difference I am going to check out translating whats needed for the psp version.

Off the translation topic, would you be able to release a tool to unpack all sprite images from the game in the future?

Cless wont show public any of the tools he uses, if you wanna rip the sprite, do it yourself (maybe you can ask him, though)

I was just wondering, how much more progress has been made since the menu patch was released?

I notice that posts are few and far between on the forum (and rightfully so, the Devs are obviously busy) but I just wanted to know where this is at.

I understand that Phantasia is still the main focus, but that's going to be released any week now.

So, like I said, I was wondering if any progress has been made with ToD2. I fully understand if there hasn't been to much done with it. I was just curious because any news about any sort of progress, big or small, is good news.

I also have another question. When Phantasia is done will the Developers working on Phantasia jump on the ToD2 project along with the people already working on it?

Really though I am trying to keep the board fresh, if that makes sense. I notice how much activity there used to be on this board (and Forum) and it is sort of disheartening when you see a definite decrease in activity.

As far as I know, Cless is the only one working on both projects. The rest of the ToP team isn't related to ToD2... or is it?

Not a whole lot happens "behind the scenes" in regards to the menu translation because it's still an open project. What's in the public text files and what's been posted to the community forum since the last update of the public files is in most cases still the "current" progress of the project. I do sometimes inject edits that aren't posted anywhere in-between text file updates, but still... I haven't personally done any further work on the project since my last post in the Enchants thread. Other members have done some battle text and skit titles since I've focusing on ToP/other things, which is really cool.

Other than that, I did also insert an extremely crude translation of a couple script files (in serious need of editing and a translation accuracy check) 2-3 months ago. But that's not technically part of the menu translation...
