Generally, I think tech and items names should be translates... Unless they are on a languaje different form japanese (like magic in Tales series), that shoul be kept in the language they are intended to be written in (PROPER english, in this case). But It really depends on the translation quality. Nah, don't pay attention to me, blabbering too much. Just send japanese to hell...

Someone said that one page ago, Cless is trying to avoid abrreviations and now there's not really an excuse to use it with the possibility of half-width font everywhere.

I just want to say that the bloated Tech names do NOT look that bad at all in those screenshots. First, once you equip them they look fine! Second, it's still true to the point and they're in English and so is everything else, which is better than keeping them in Kanji or silly abreviations... So even in the final version of the patch that shouldn't be a concern. Imho, it's fine and it is nothing to nitpick about (given the restrictions.)

As for the names of the Techs themselves, I think Azu has the right idea. It's easy for Cless to be more creative with that aspect of the game while staying true to the other English "Tales of..." games if they feel the need for continuity. On a different note... God bless this project... I really hope all goes well and one day we can all play ToD2 in English. Good luck! ^^;

This is incredible! My favourite Tales is being translated to english.

Me and other people have made a Spanish translation 100% of Tales of Eternia, although it's not released yet. (still we have to correct bugs, translate the objects list...).

And we wouldn't mind translating Destiny 2 to spanish from this translation (because we don't know japanese...).

Yeah, to everyone working on this... you're all the coolest damn people ever.

A mere half-year ago or so, it seemed like only two of the next-gen Tales games would ever see an English release: Symphonia and Legendia. It sucked majorly knowing that we weren't going to get even half of them. Then Abyss was announced, and while the shift made the whole idea a lot more tolerable I still considered two of the five games to be a considerable loss. But now that I know that four of the five will be in English... man. This is awesome.

Will the cutscenes have subtitles or perhaps a little text file to let us know what they're saying?
