Am I the only one using a slim PS2?  Modding the slim PS2 was the easiest thing I ever did, just push down the three switches inside the system (I used Magic Keys) and you're done.  Works perfectly with Swap Magic and Breaker Pro and well, anything really.  But I know some people prefer the standard size system, I figure if my current system blows up/overheats/whatever, I'll just buy another one somewhere down the line.  For me it's a lot easier then having to deal with a flip top or slide tool on an ongoing basis.

Didn't work for me so I had to buy a big one premodded
The big one supports also a HDD which is quite nice with Hdloader

I don't use a slim PS2 because I use Japanese and American software that requires the HDD, and I have a Japanese and American PS2. I don't use any sort of modification, just HDLoader, and mainly that just so I don't have to swap discs so often when changing games, and so when I travel, I only have to bring one of the PS2s out of the house to be able to play most of my games from either region. A slim PS2 is unappealing to me because it has more compatability problems, and it doesn't work with hardware peripherals that I regularly use. It also won't let me set something on top of it (I stack my PS2s and then put a PS1 on top) or set it between my wall and TV in a vertical position without blocking access to the disc tray.

Ah, that's right.  I hadn't thought about using a HD.  I never use one myself, so I'd almost forgotten that the original PS2 could take a HD.  Certainly makes sense why you wouldn't want to use (or rather couldn't use) a slim.

No kidding, extreme piece of cake here, tape down a sensor with electrical tape, put a smaaaall tinnnnnny piece of toilet tissue in the front hole on the cover, and I was done. I only needed to buy Swap Magic >_>;

I think I might have to buy a new PS2.  I tried playing Rebirth on mine last night and it made some not so good sounds, but it played fine on my friend's PS2.
