Uhm....no. Put your Tales of Destiny 2 Copy in and make an ISO out of it with DVD Decrypter for example.

They will not provide the game. That's up to you. If you're having trouble importing the original, Cless said he's working on a patch for the Best and Mega Hits versions.

The patch itself will probably be on torrents. If you have extenuating circumstances, Cless will probably help you out.

Edit: Oh, right, like Seni said, you have to take your original copy and make an image file out of it, apply the patch to that, and reburn it onto a blank DVD. Needless to say, you'll have to have a way to play burned games. If you're already playing foreign games, most likely your PS2 is already set up to play burned games.

The menu patch should be well small enough to distribute on the website.

The full patch on the other hand... that, I dunno yet. we may need a custom patch format for that...

What's weird about it? That you can't reburn it onto the original disc? That's because the original game disc is a DVD-ROM, so it cannot be re-written back onto.

Why is patching weird? Every fan-translation for a game I've ever seen has used a patch on the original langauge version of the game. DeJap releases all of their translations as patches, and you have to provide the original game file. KajitaniEizan releases patches for the original versions of games his group translates.

If it's a commercially released game, they don't have rights to just distribute copies of the game with their translation, so the only legal way others can use the translation is to get the patch and apply it to their own copy?

How else did you think you'd be able to apply the translation to the game...?

Oh, yeah, of course there's programs. When the time comes to release it, Cless will tell you what program you need.

Well, if you did a simple search for ISO patches that have been done already for other games, or how to patch one, you'll get lots of mention of PPF files and a program called PPF-O-Matic, which should suggest to you that they are used in such patching. How to do something shouldn't be any big question when you're on the internet, since you can usually find the answer with a search. And of course Cless isn't going to release his patch without instructions on how to use it.

Hmm... can I just download ToD2, patch it, then burn it onto a disk? Because I already downloaded it... it's a .mdf file that's 3.5 GB.
