I own a Japanese encoded slimline Playstation 2, and I'm planning on buying ToD2 soon. Would it be possible for me to rip my own ISO using Alcohal 120%, apply the patch, and rewrite the ISO onto the ToD2 disc?

You can rip the ISO and apply the patch. But no, you can't put it on the original disc. Commercially pressed discs are read-only.

There is NO patch yet Tongue

There is a Japanese version of "Swap Magic" if you don't want to solder the chip on your own PS2, I use the English "Swap Magic Coder" version, they both serve the same purpose and it is to play backups/imports.

I'm new here, so hi guys.  Smiley I'm new to importing and patching so I was wondering how one patches the game. Do I put the TOD2 disk on my computer and patch the ISO? Also, the last post said something about Tod2 not working with Swap Magic 3... If this is true, does anyone know if version 3.6 would work? Thanks, sorry for asking so much on my first post.  Lips Sealed

Nah, ToD2 should be completely compatable with all versions of swap magic. Anyway, what you do is put ToD2 into your computer and use some program to make an ISO of the disc. The patch format will probably be PPF. Find a program that can patch ISOs with PPFs and download the patch when Cless releases it, then patch the ISO. You then burn the patched ISO image onto a blank DVD. The patched game should work on swap magic. If homebrew PS2 games work, then this should too.
