Too busy to update the website! (June 13th, 2008)

Hino Rei just went through a massive streak of total win this past week and proofread/checked the accuracy the ENTIRE remaining portion of the translated scripts. I still have to catch up with his work, it's A LOT! I've been hacking at it for a couple days already.

And even though he's caught up with proofreading the translated script, it may not be over! Since I've received nothing from Lina, he may begin to hack at the skit translation after he finishes up some things on his end. I'd say if that if he works at it with the same energy as the proofreading, he could have it done within a few days. We'll see.

You mean... the WHOLE main script is all ready to go? This is too awesome to be true!

Nana... just the 80% that's been translated. Before this streak, he had had it at around 35%, and to put that into perspective, it took around four months to get that much done. But he burned through the remaining 45% just in this last week.

Skit translations are coming next, and if there's still no word from Lina after that's done, perhaps the rest of the script...

Really Cless, I admire you. You had the motivation to work on this project for 8 years.

Since he's a professional manga/novel translator, he's been trying to find a new employer (I think due to lack of work from his current one) and helping us in the interim. So, make no mistake; what he did was definitely not rushed.  He completed these files at about the same pace as the previous ones.

There's still more editing passes to come though, he's just fixing inaccuracies and cleaning things up that are awkward. However I think his work already puts the existing script at a nearly release-quality level. But I'm still trying to take this even further than that.

I'm sure it wasn't rushed, and even if it was, you would probably work on it a lot.

Even if there's still that 20%, the amount that has been done this week is INCREDIBLE. Now I can say I really feel that this project's completion is closer than ever.

I've actually known him for years. He's doing this because he's been following it for a long time and wants to see to its completion as well. He also has other friends that look forward to it and I believe also helped to nudge him.

Now, if I could pay his price, I'd have him all over ToD2 yesterday.

This is nice to know, Since TOS2 is just right around the corner and TOV is coming along and will be releasing in August, definitely it going to be a year of tales. When can we see it to be release if stuff goes along smoothly?

Sorry I've been AWOL for a while--real life = teh suck.

Anyway, a friend of mine is pretty awesome with Japanese now. If Lina doesn't get back to you, I could see if she'd take up the rest of the script. She does scanlation translations at present.

Got an editor submission back yesterday. He's awesome! Even gogs approves. He'll do justice to this game if chosen. Hopefully the other three remaining candidates will be able to meet the deadline, I haven't heard anything from them since sending the test.
