I never anticipated that it would take two months, but draft 3 of the main dialogue script is finished. At the very least, I think it was worth the time and effort. Nearly every line now flows and makes sense, at least I think they do. This was a very exhaustive and thorough edit job for me and I don't think I'll need to spend this much time with the script again. Again, I rewrote more lines than are countable, and I'm pretty sure I had Hino Rei (translator) look over at least a hundred or so potentially problematic lines (and the majority of those were). There are still a few known lingering issues, but a countless number of ones that were there as of draft 2 have been stamped out.

Tomorrow, I'm going to insert the chunk of draft 4 that nusakan0 sent me a while back (remember, I sent him a piece of in-progress draft 3 about a month ago to work with), and then send him the updated script. He says he'll have another draft 4 chunk ready soon, too.

I think I can now comfortably say that the main script is in an advanced stage at this point. With draft 4, nusakan0 will have ironed out issues introduced with my draft and added more polish to the rest of it. I'm not sure how many more passes will be necessary after that but I still hesitate to call draft 4 the final one.

I'm still awaiting draft 2 of the skit script. Once I receive that, I will do an exhaustive draft 3 on that as I did with the main script. It shouldn't take as long though since the skit script is a lot smaller.

Of course then remains the menu text and the misc subtitles. Those are in less advanced stages than either the main dialogue or skit scripts. I'll do what I can to make sure they don't hold back the project...

I also received an email from Habilain about a week ago saying that he'd try getting a start on those extra hacking touches soon, too.

Sweet!

I've held off for so long now, decided to wait for Phantasian Production's translation even after throughim and gemini's patch was released and it looks like it was definitely worth the wait.

Kudos to you Cless and the rest of the PP team.

Can't wait to play! XD

You do realise that this is just PROBABLY going to be released this year?
If Cless says "this year" he means about decembre... 2011 Tongue

But seriously, good work, it looks excellent and I can definitely wait for this masterpiece (even up to 2011 and longer Tongue).

Nah, I can pretty well assure that, barring some horrible tragedy or ridiculous and unseen complication, the translation will be completed this year.

Yeah. I know I can be pretty optimistic with some of my preliminary dates (hell, my last one "fighting for within this half of the year" wasn't quite hitting the mark either), but there's absolutely no good reason it won't be finished this year. None, nada, zilch.

I guess while I'm here I should mention that I've been working on the readme file off and on over the last several days. It's currently 96K as plain text and is going to climb well over 100K. Still stewing over whether I should make a version for the website, though.

Yeah, I am really looking forward to it - I was just joking back then Cheesy
Website version means a version with additional font styles/pictures and so on?
IF so, maybe some Word or Writer document (converted to PDF or course) would be a better choice?
