Ha. I unintentionally lied.

My "quick run through the game" to test the insertion of Nusakan's second draft is more like a very careful, anal-retentive, analyzation of just about every piece of dialogue in the game to ensure ALL OF IT makes sense (well, when it's intended to make sense), flows properly, and reads decently well. I sort of touched on this in a post in the DeJap revisited thread a few days ago.

I'm still at it. I've been doing this ever since I finished reviewing and inserting Nusakan's edits two weeks ago, and I've only just made it to Midgard. I thought things were looking good already, but I continue to be surprised at just how much more work this stuff needs to bring it to perfection.

A lot of things look fine and dandy at first glance. But looking at some things from a deeper angle, they aren't as fine and dandy as seemed. I've rewritten so much dialogue while testing the game that I couldn't hope to list everything. Hino Rei has helped out with over a dozen translation issues that weren't immediately obvious.

I hope that it won't take more than a week to finish this exhaustive review/edit, but I have been known to spend an entire day's free time on just one damn scene.

I can't wait to see what Nusakan does with all of it.

How I'd love to take another break. I've got this sudden undying urge to jump back into Disgaea 3 and give it another chance. But I'm just creating more work for myself by taking this script stuff so seriously.

I'm still not quite done with my edit. The Midgard part took me around a week to get through (there's a lot of dialogue during that portion of the game, and a LOT of it needed revision), and I did a couple parts following it. By that time, burnout was hitting me HARD, and it was just taking longer for me to get stuff done, and probably less effectively. I should probably be back to it within a few days though, as I've already been off of it for several days, and am starting to feel more refreshed.

Nusakan collected the script as I had it a few days ago, and is presumably working on it as I type this, so it's not like nothing's being done right now.

Next update will be on the front page of the site. It should be huge as it's been a long time since I posted a ToP update on the front page (so lots to recap), plus I plan to make a lot of new screenshots for it.

Damn you must be mighty tired of this damn game by this point. But I'm happy that you are still going at it. Ever since i found out about your project (i think it was a month or so after the DeJap patch, i remember having completed the game before finding a news post about top psx being translated.)..

Anyways i haven't played ToP since because I've been waiting for this project to be completed.

Okay, I'm getting back to work on it, but I might try mixing up my free time with other things.

Anyway, I think it might actually make more sense to just call my edit the third major pass, with Nusakan getting a head start on the fourth. Normally my stuff is just addenda to his, but what I've been doing here is much more than that.
