Embarrassingly, nothing has really happened in the last few days, to be honest. A bit busier than usual on some days, but most of my free time was wasted on nothing productive. No good excuses, really...just that this file in particular likes to sap the motivation out of me. Too much stuff demanding of special attention! Ugh.

When this patch is available will you include instructions with it? I've always had problems getting burned PSX games to work...

There is a demo patch here and instructions on how to install it. Maybe good for some practice?

Meh. Still slogging through the file. A few dozen more lines have been rewritten, at least, and I think most of the hard stuff is over with. I'd estimate I'm 80% done with this, but I may want to give it one more pass and do some playtesting.

...And finally, I'm bloody well done with that evil file, for now.

There's one more file left that could conceivably cause me similar pain...and that's because it contains a couple scenes that made DeJap's SNES patch so famous/infamous. Whether or not one agrees with what they did there, they've set the bar pretty damn high--perhaps unreachably. Well...we'll try.

Speaking of which, I'm playing that right now as a place holder until you release your patch. I don't know if I'm exaggerating or not, but yours looks like it's going to be the best of any other Tales of Patch to be released to date. We'll see when it comes out =P

At the very least, it should have its own identity.

Anyway, went through the next file in the sequence with little difficulty. Five more files left for this...

There, just did the re-edit of file. Ahh...what a difference it makes to go into it with a more motivated mind. I didn't edit any lines in that file yesterday, but today I edited a few dozen.

I wish I was better at writing snark though...
