Which game controller would you recommend?

I have been trying to buy a new controller for my PC since I accidentally broke my old one. I looked around Amazon but...I reviews don't sway me. Any of you have any recommendations? Basically, my minimum requirements is that said controller has the same layout as a PS1/PS2 controller(two analog sticks, four shoulder buttons)?

Any wired 360 controller works fine on PC (the wireless ones need a wireless receiver of a certain kind), not to mention that you don't need to use any type of xinput emulation software to use the controller with certain recent PC releases (such as many Games for Windows titles) that have out-of-the-box controller setups (w/accompanying in-game 360 button icons and everything to boot).

Only issue I have with the standard 360 controllers is the horribly sloppy d-pad, but besides that... I think the 360 controller is godsend.

Personally , I use my ps3 controller. You can use it wired or via bluetooth. There are guides and drivers on the web.

I second the 360 controller. Maybe look into d-pad mods for it too.
