I was wondering where people get their's. Plus I need a modded PS1. You know, so that whenever TOP gets finished I can play it VIA PS1.

You can go to Modchipstore.com for modded PS1/2's, or you can buy a Swap Magic for your PS2.

Or if your PC is good enough, you can download a emulator for PS1 (like ePSXe), and play the ISO/CD off that.

true ePSX is one of the best and you don't need that much of PC.

I play on celeron 500 MHz with 32 MB Riva and 128 ram, and most games was well emulated you can always get the lowest graphic and sound to better or smoother play. You can change almost everything in that emulator but it will never be the same as to play on big TV and own psx  Wink Wink Wink Wink

What's the lowest basic stuff I need for my computer(and PC itself) to play Isos on the ePSX. The furthest I got with emulation was N64 and I got this lousy dell now thats been worked on already and I haven't gotten around to checking it yet. When I do I'd like to know what I need on it if anything. Thanks in advance, and sorry for the request if it's a bother.

Erm where is it on that site??? I can't find it. I already have a modded PS2, but the PS1 is what I need. I like playing on the TV much better than the other option. Would you kindly help me out by providing a link or directions to the thing???

What type of PS2 mod do you have?

Quite a lot of PS2 mods work perfectly fine for playback of PS1 games, it's just that often some of the people providing these mods aren't very good at informing the buyers about it.

If it's a swap trick mod of some sort (using things such as Swap Magic) you can actually just get a PlayStation gamebooster/Action Replay/GameShark and that disc will work perfectly fine as a swap disc for PS1 games. Just boot the disc that will act as a PS1 swap disc, then wait 'til you hit the menu and then perform the swap and select Start Game.

If it's a mod chip, then you could try out some of these methods:

1: Some modern mod-chips have proper auto detection for inserted media, so just try to boot the game as any other game.

or

2: If your PS2 auto boots PS2 imports, but evt. requires some button to be pressed to play DVD movies. Then try to set the PS2 in standby mode after inserting the PS1 game, then hold reset pressed 'til the blue light turns on (roughly 2 seconds) and see if the game boots. (Or evt. try to use the same method you would use to start DVD movies on it)

or

3: If your PS2 requires a button to be held on boot-up for imports to start (Like holding O pressed or something), just try to hold some of the other buttons pressed. Chances are that one of them will indeed boot your PS1 game.

It's called Matrix, and yeah it can play PS1 games and yea it can also play DVD's but the problem is that if I do then it will be permanantly set on that. The PS2 games feature is the only one that you have to get into the mod chip to set it up. I don't want to be stuck playing PS1 games only. It allows for Imports of games. Actually it accepts any type of game. Yeah the best solution is to just get a modded PS1.
