What the hell is going on with Sonic?

I may be really really really late on my comment (lol) but today one of my friends showed me a trailer of the new sonic games for DS and the other (the black nights dont know the system)...

I am so dissapointed on what sonic has become D: I mean the next gen and others were bad but still looked somehow like sonic (on Shadow:the hedhog I was thinking all the time "Its just a side story they wont repeat this sci fi thing.." and on next gen it was pretty bearable, yet still annoying). NOW they exploited the last of what sonic was...

Sonic the dark brotherhood? Sonic and a sword?
What the...?! When did Sonic mean "generic hedhog ready to be sold!" ?

Yeah Sonic isn't quite doing so well in the creativity department. Whats more though, the games themselves aren't doing too well either.

Sonic Rush is pretty much the last good Sonic game really.

Its such a shame... Cause the Sonic series could have lived in the classic way forever, like Mario did.
BTW wasnt Sonic Rivals good? I thought it was pretty nice when Ive seen it...

Sonic Unleash looks promising but I know what you mean Sonic game has become shitty as of date. Was looking forward to Sonic Chronicle looks like a huge disappointment

I remember when they said if sonic chronicles is a failure, then there goes sonic's career, but i believe sonic is in the hands of unleashed but i guess we'll see.

If unleashed DOES come for the PS2 I will give it a shot, since it looks far more decent than other new sonic games (throws shadow the hedhog to the wall and goes to play Sonic 3)

It probably will, i just checked gamefaqs. november 18. it's far more decent because they brought back the sonic adventure formula in that game.

I dont like either Shadow the Hedhogh or the Sonic the Heghog: Next Gen.
They went too far from what sonic is.
You may critize me, but Sonic Heroes really did it better than those two, and that game wasnt that good too

You serious? Shadow the Hedgehog is just completely unbearable to play. On the other hand, Sonic the Hedgehog Next Gen is somewhat bearavle, loading times, quests and glitches aside.

Sonic Heroes was okay but the fact you got to play the same levels 4 times is one thing and the slightly flawed game formula is another.

yeah it does look pretty good. but there might be a chance that ppl would be ore focus on unleashed.
