Uwe Boll, AKA that guy known for taking high profile games and turn them into very lousy movies, now challenges critics to "Put up or Shut Up" and fight him in a boxing ring.

Sounds like a joke, doesn't it?  Well, according to Gamespot's Rumor Control, it isn't.

Now I just want to say...isn't he going a bit too far with this?

Maybe he should start paying them! :P

The guy's a proven nutcase. He's been nagging about critics for quite some time with middle school-level insults.

Maybe he should check out Silent Hill. Supposedly that's one of the first game/movie conversions that actually came out rather good, and not just relative to other game movies...

No, not crazy. I think it's smart. I've seen some of his work; he's got a much better chance in a brawl.
A career change might be just what he needs.

Now he's changed the deal... He still wants to fight, but not as long as was previously stated. He said the press release was mistaken and said 3 rounds per person should be enough, not 10. He also boasts previous boxing experience, but has not trained for 10 years.

Uwe Boll is an attention whore; It's amazing someone devoid of talent is so mouthy. I think he should take his own advice first before dishing it out to others.

Maybe he should check out Silent Hill. Supposedly that's one of the first game/movie conversions that actually came out rather good, and not just relative to other game movies...

I wouldn't go that far. The movie had a nice feel, it felt like Silent Hill for the first half at least, but then just crashed after that, terrible acting, dialogue, plot and total lack of traditional Silent Hill-esque scares really killed it for me. I'd rate it 2/5.

Hmmm... maybe if his movies didn't blow chunks, the critics might think differently. Shocked

I wonder if that's occured to him, but then again, he's probably a bit to thick for that. I'm really glad he didn't get the rights to a MGS movie. Mr. Kojima shot the Bollster down himself.
