So, after a few years of keeping track of 360 games, I realized a little while ago that there are quite a few JRPGs that are going to be released/already out in Japan.  I found a total of 15 of them...

Blue Dragon
Lost Odyssey
Eternal Sonata
Infinite Undiscovery
Cry On
The Last Remnant
Enchanted Arms
Magna Carta 2
Tengai Makyou Ziria
Absolute:Blazing Infinity
Diario: Rebirth Moon Legend
Spectral Force 3: Innocent Rage
Kingdom Under Fire (This one is an Action-RPG)
Super Robot Wars Taisen XO
Operation Darkness

So? I'd rather get a XBox360 than a PS3. The pricing is still ridiculous and the selection is very weak.

And lets not forget Sony's current behavior.

In reality though, I really have no care for Next Gen. I'm just happy with only my NDS and PS2 >_>

Fixed.

But yeah of the next-gen consoles, the 360 is the better RPG console for the moment.

...not as many as you think.
-Kingdom Under Fire has been Microsoft's answer to Dynasty Warriors.
-Super Robot Taisen is SRPG, not JRPG.  If you wanna include SRPG's, DS completely dominates the 360 in terms of rpg count, as does the lowly GBA.
So 13, one of which is lackluster (Enchanted Arms).  And still no Tales Games.

Tons is kind of pushing it.

Well, relatively speaking, it has tons of JRPGs in release now and coming out in the future.

I think the 360 has the potential to corner the American portion of the JRPG market, or at least the one that wants HD graphics. The Wii will certainly have low-budget JRPGs like Disgaea under it's wing. At the current rate things are going, I see the PS3 becoming the Gamecube of this generation, getting multiplatform releases and the occassional exclusive.

The Wii is still the 15-minute high wonder. It's only a fad now; it'll die away very/pretty quickly. Only a few (~3) games can keep you playing more than 15-minutes. The Wii is still very much like the gamecube in that sense.

The Wii is the console for multiplayer though like the GCN was back then and the N64 was.

I have to disagree. While the PS3 and 360 have embraced online gaming from nearly the get-go, it's taken the Wii nearly a year to integrate that functionality into its games, and to date it has done so sparingly. The Gamecube's multiplayer was awful, with almost zero online functionality.

I think goshi was talking about non-online multiplay, as a group of friends playinmg together (that has been the main focus of the Wii's maketing campaing, if you check it)

Yeah I was talking about non-online.

I never liked online multiplayer anyway so go figure. In terms of online though I'm pretty sure the PC has aces on that, no matter what consoles try.
