Hi guys. I went to the emergency room yesterday for severe abdominal pain. And as of this writing, I'm still here at the hospital and I'm about to stay for the second night.

Apparently I've gotten a bowel obstruction thanks to consuming too much fiber (almonds) and not enough water to go with it. It hurts like hell when the pain killers wear off.

It's been horrible. They stuck some kind of tube through my nose and down my throat and deployed it down all the way down to my stomach to "decompress" it, to try and relieve some of the stress caused by the blockage. I gagged so much on it. If that wasn't bad enough, the doctor decided the tube was too small and not sucking up solids, so they took it out and put an even thicker one in. *****ing ow. I think that's the first time I cried over physical pain in 15 years or something. The damn thing stressed my nostril the whole time, so uncomfortable. Thank the lord it was finally removed a few hours ago.

God only knows where it's gonna go from here. I'm only allowed to have a completely liquid diet at the moment. I guess I should be glad I'm not terribly hungry. They hope the liquid consumption will eventually loosen the obstruction. If not, they're going to have to surgically remove the obstruction and who knows how long it'll take to recover from that.

I guess I could've had it worse. Another guy who came in apparently fell off a ladder and took out his back and leg.

Anyway, my dad brought his laptop over here and we're using the wifi. For some stupid reason, the firewall blocks "gaming" sites and the front page is unreachable. I got lucky the forum worked.

Yikes, that's quite an ordeal. I'm honestly glad that you're still alive (had quite a scare when I heard you'd checked into the ER), and I really hope that recovery goes well for you.

Tubes getting shoved into orifices = not very fun times.
Good to hear that it wasn't any of the less desirable orifices. Best wishes and here's to a speedy recovery.

Ouch. That must have been awful. >_>

I hope you get well soon, Cless. And be thankful you can't access any game-related sites for a while, some of them can be hazardous to your health. Tongue

I'm back. Doctor came in this morning, told me everything was looking good, and that I didn't need to be there anymore. Probably going to take it easy for a bit.

Only saw this now, but it's the intention that counts right?

Glad to see your condition is improving, and hopefully it'll continue to do so. cheers.

I guess I'm completely back to normal. Took almost two days for my normal voice to return, thanks to the tubes from hell.

What an insane month for me. Some horrible things happened, but also some really awesome things.
