I never played a Summon Night game so I usually don't have interest in it, but I was browsing 4chan a few minutes ago and found this scan for Summon Night Twin Age... All I have to say is the main character SO does not bear a resemblance to Cless.

I wonder if there's any chance of it making it's way into english? I'd snap it up in a second. The Summon Night SCS games for the GBA were so fun..

Agreed. I've never had a chance to play the console Summon Nights, but from what I've heard from other people who've played it, they're just as excellent. It's good to see the series continuing to bloom.

Perhaps the main character of Twin Age could pass for Cless's cousin twice removed. : P

I've been collecting games and other stuff from this series because I just have this huge hunch that it's going to be a big winner with me, as I haven't actually gotten around to playing any of them yet. I have the two Swordcraft Stories released in english, the third one in Japanese, and Summon Night 3 and 4 for PS2. Play-Asia tells me my copies of Summon Night 1 and 2 on PS1 are in the mail.

I poked around SN3 to see if a translation project was possible. Text was easy to find but it looks too difficult to deal with especially because I don't really understand how the files that store dialogue text work. ToP and ToD2 were very logical, but SN3 is a complete mess. I also didn't see any evidence of it supporting half width characters anyway.

Seriously let me know how they are. Been wanting to give them a try for a while but with my near inability to read most Japanese at the moment, I couldn't justify collecting them (story is more important for me then anything)

Ayashii Gamesubs had attempted a translation but there was some sort of problem regarding the palette on reinserted sprites, I was hoping to be more specific but the project page has since disappeared :/

Out of interest I tracked it down through the web archive. Not too much of use, unfortunately. I actually did put together my own data extractor, though.

I had to same palette issues looking at the game images with GGD. Incidentally, I have the same issues with a *lot* of ToD2 images/graphics. Only battle sprites I recall not having any trouble with decoding. Maybe I should strip out the alpha channel and see what happens... I had to do that to make editing the ToD2 half width font possible.

the male main character kind of reminds me of Ark from Terranigma. Are the character designs in this game made by Kuroboshi?
