That loading time makes me wonder... what about if a sonic game for PSP with hi def graphics were to be released?
constant loading + 20 secs waiting= ultimate lagging gaming experience
You know....there is some sonic games for psp..
definitely
doesn't have the greatest graphics....and as far as loading times, i have no idea, but if they lag as they do in 360......

Here is a new trailer for sonic unleashed. It's not a game play trailer more of a plot twist teaser. Yeah sega is really sticking to it's roots all right
like the ground under a fallen tree

Sonic Rivals does having loading times but they're not as bad or frequent as they are in Next-Gen Sonic.

Heh, that was an interesting...er, plot twister...? Apparently there's some sort of meaning behind the title.
Well, Im pretty sure I already said it, but there's still time to screw this up.

The game apparently will be split between night and day gameplay. Guess where warehog comes in

Why are Sonic Team even bothering with plot twists? Does
anyone
care about the plot in a Sonic game? I certainly don't. Give me Sonic, badniks, and plenty of wide open spaces to get up to the speed of sound over and over again. Let me kick Eggman's ass like in the good old days of Sonic.
What I really want out of a Sonic game is a truly
enormous
three-dimensional gameplay area, like on the scale of Mercenaries or GTA: San Andreas with scatterings of badniks (they don't need to be close together when the main character moves at
the speed of sound
) and some valleys that I can blast down at speeds usually only experienced by fighter pilots. I don't really care if the graphical quality isn't that great or if it has no plot. As long as they lay off on the secondary characters (or have none, seriously, just Sonic this time, with the only transformation being Super Sonic), be inventive with the level design, have me thinking "He's going to take off, he
must
take off, nothing can go this fast and stay on the ground" (I recommend blurring, fish-eye effect, and camera shaking to help with this feeling), and give us some awe-inspiring boss battles to work with, then I'm happy.
I really don't think this is such a hard formula. Sonic Team are just too timid to throw everything else out of the window and go for the core of what made Sonic great in the first place. Unbelievably, eyeball-melting speed.

secret rings was pretty decent.
I dislike the werewolf segments in this one, the rest looks ace, but really... why must they make these "werewolf thingies" obligatory?

The problem with the free roaming environments in other 3d sonic games was that the characters you controlled would just spaz out because they were designed to go really fast for long periods of time. Here they only use free roaming environments for the warehog and they slowed him down. Then they made it a beet 'em up section... We'll see how that goes. They restricted classic sonic to long, linear tracks. Also made it so that you don't actually have to stop and kill enemies in your way. It looks like they spruced up the 3d controls so you don't end up running along side a wall or have to stop. I don't like the music though. I'd jump for joy without ever having to hear any of the sonic characters talk, AT ALL! I never liked any of the voice actors.

Wow, im...excited.
Its been a while, I haven't been this excited since....I think SA to Heroes. It really reminds me of the Sonic Adventure feeling~~running in colorful sunlit areas to rock music getting chased by whales at high speed...FUnn

Heh, really? I understand where you comin from, but I liked the voices somewhat. And the music so far seems....well, pretty decent imo! I actually
liked
that Endless Possibility song....despite the fact its a little cheesy.(But then again, all of em have been rather cheesy
)

Yeah I agree for the most part....I mean honestly though, I dont think it was that bad an idea. Like, its pretty simple and new, but atm it looks too slow. The one thing I like about it is that it reminds me of SA2 where youll play some fast stages, then take it easy a little by hunting for emeralds with Knuckles or Rouge, or blow up some crap with Tails/Robotnik. In that sense its kinda cool, but right now it just looks a little slow; hopefully itll be fun to combo baddies and such, and hopefully the running to killing will be spread out evenly...I actually wanna see this game come out well now. Its looking great so far to me, and its been too long since a good Sonic game has been released....Ive missed my crazy highspeed running~~
And of course, ever since Sonic 2 + 3 to Heroes, I don't mind seeing appearences from old friends like tails and (especially) Knuckles

I'm actually hope this game is good as well. It looks like fun. I just hope it isn't riddled with clumsy controls and bad camera angles that make your characters run around in circles.

secret rings was pretty decent.
I didn't like Secret of the Rings very much. Heck, I even enjoyed Sonic Next Gen more than Secret of the Rings.
The game would've been better without the forced combat sections and having to do all these tedious and poorly designed missions. Not only that, combat in the game felt painful.
The level designs are better though. I love the pirate stage.
