If those screenshot are actually the gameplay camera, then I can see that camera is horrible

Well, the ingame camera for this one, outside of cutscenes and special events whould be third person behind sonic's back (first and second image show it well), it's basically the same camera Secret Rings had, possibly tweaked for the sword and stuff
