Sega has made another VC game. Like the second one, Valkyria Chronicles 3 is for the PSP. *insert moaning fans here* Anyway, the story revolves around Gallian Army Squad 422 AKA the Nameless(it's purpose being taking care of Gallia's dirty work). The protagonist, Kurt Irving had a bright future ahead of him as an officer but something happened that made him become one of the Nameless. He wants to get out of there and rejoin his original battilion The heroine is named Imuka and she wants revenge against the Valkyria for destroying her village. She was found by the Nameless. She's the quite type. Meanwhile, we have Reila who doesn't know that she is a Valkyria. She was expelled to the Nameless due to being the only survivor when her squad was killed and was deemed a "death goddess". VC3's story is dark but it's not all tragedy; there's still that same sense of comradeship like in the last two games.

- The game does not adopt a mission system like the second game - instead as you read through the story battles occur.
- Story will be definitely darker than the second game - but not all darkness and tragedy, they'll be the same sense of comradeship as in other Valkyria games.
- The command and action modes have been renewed, and the number of things you can do has been increased. There'll be a demo at TGS that lets you try out Riera's Valkyria mode and the unleashing of Imuka's weapon abilities - the heroines' 'super modes', but there will be other new elements too.
- The area system from the second game will be kept, but they'll be wider.
- You'll be able to fight giant tanks like the Batomys from the first game on several occasions with different attack strategies. There'll be a number of other unique situations to get you excited too.
- Changing the class system so individual characters are more, er, individual. As far as the classes go, they're aiming for quality not quantity, so some will be unified, and they want to further strengthen the role of each class.
- Because they want to aim for more enjoyment of the story, the 'ingredient collection' elements have been reduced. There is also no ad-hoc wireless mode.

I'm buying this game day one. What do you think?

P.S: I'd display the pictures but the [img][img] thingy seems to be borked. Sorry.  Undecided

I have never played the 2nd one. Series should have stuck on the PS3, the console is in desperate need of good games.

This, if any console/handheld is dying for good games it's the PSP.

Hey don't do that! You almost gave me a fright! The PSP is doing fine. Just... not as well as the NDS.

I mean come on! A remastered version of Tactics Ogre is coming out. System is looking good to me!

I can name all the good/exciting upcoming PSP games on one hand (God of War, VC3, Tactics Ogre, KH:BbS, and Dissidia 2). PS3 gets all the multiplatform stuff along with tons of exclusives.
