It's Friday the 13th and it's the start of more horror.

Of course, that horror is Resident Evil 5.

Anyone else playing it?

I'm liking it so far.  The only complaint I have is that the computer controlled partner doesn't know how to conserve items and uses ammo with recklessness and healing items on flesh wounds.  Other than that, I'm enjoying it.

Now, I just need to also remember any of the noteworthy, campy dialogues I hear during the game.

I'm gonna wait until the PC version comes out, so I can at least try to play it with a GameCube controller using an adapter. The 360 controller with the demo didn't click with me at all. :/

Maybe if the PC version supports mouse aim, someone will make a good Wii remote hack for it, too.

I'd also like to see someone hack the game to make Sheva more like Luis in RE4 so I don't have to worry about her ass so much. Just give her infinite health and nerf her attack power or something to balance it out. I'm a very poor multitasker and she required way too much maintenance in the demo for my liking.

People actually make and port shooters without mouse functionality? I gotta meet these people so I can give them a good whack in the back of the head.

Funnily enough, I've found that Sheva is often better at staying out of trouble than I am.  It's kind of embarrassing to call for her to resuscitate me five times in a row while she hasn't taken a single hit.

But, yeah, seconding Aileron on the frustration about the AI's lack of ammo conservation principles.

Interesting thing to note is that you can replay previous levels to loot for ammo, recovery items, and money.  Something's telling me I may need this if I go play the hardest difficulties.  I also have to admit this.  I find myself constantly doing just that and not feel bored about it.  I mean, I really should continue the rest of the game but I get distracted doing some looting (embarrassingly enough, doing that got me constantly eaten by an alligator in Chapter 3-1).

After I complete the game on Normal, I'm going to open myself up to co-op for Veteran mode.

Oh yeah, I want to make this official...Ricardo Irving is officially RE5's representation of campiness.  You just have to see it yourself to get why.  The acting for him is so ridiculous.
