It's been practically confirmed (though not yet officially) that Gamestop and EB are going to allow pre-orders on Wii this Friday. While it's certainly not going to be the disaster of the PS3 launch, I think anybody that wants one on release date and can make it out Friday morning should do it. While I'm normally against pre-order crap (it's NEVER needed for games), it seems like console launches recently have been a mess, so it's does seem like it might be worth it.

Well I've been on a bad streak for the past year of games being sold out when I didn't pre-order them.  Plus you get stuff sometimes, but I'm definitely pre-ordering a Wii.

So goddamned tempting. But I'm still unsure of whether or not I'll be able to afford it without going into debt.

I'm actually beginning to think about selling some games in my collection that I liked...

Stop shopping at Gamestop and EB type stores. Places like Best Buy, Circuit City and Fry's (if you've got one) are MUCH better about actually stocking games as opposed, are usually cheaper on release week and you avoid verbal harassment from the normally-moronic game store employees.

That sucks. Sad

My main concern is that I keep chipping away at my HDTV savings bit by bit. I guess on the plus side, the more I wait on that the better and cheaper they'll be but I was pretty set on getting one this Christmas.

Nah >.<
I'll wait some time before buying it, here it will be too expensive at launchtime (around US$450 TT___TT) and I don't have anyone to bring me one from the US

Well I don't really care too much, not like pre-ordering hurts me.  I know what games I'm going to buy months in advance anyway.  Besides Best Buy and Circuit City don't have as many used games for me to peruse through.  I can almost guarantee that I wouldn't have found my copy of BoF IV at Best Buy.  Never heard of Fry's though, what kind of store is that?

Frys Electronics is the full store name. They, well, sell electronics. Electronics along with anything else related to them, computers, games, etc. They're pretty popular for their good deals on many things.

Lucky. Fusion Tour? I would've gone to the one in Columbus, OH, but that, unfortunately, was a school night.

On the subject of preordering, I won't do so (no time in the coming weeks), so I'll just have to hope for the best.

Getting mine at Walmart during the midnight launch. Zelda sounds so damn hot. Can't wait. Most anticipated system ever.

Also got a PS3 preorder at bestbuy.com last night. If it goes through, I'm not gonna keep it though. That's going on the resale block... I could seriously use the cash.

I'll be going to the Nintendo Fusion Tour on the 11th.  Recently I've been questioning if I can really afford to buy a Wii/need one right now.  I'll probably still get it, but man, I've been buying so many games lately it's killing me.

Unfortunately, I don't have a pre-order, so I'll be standing outside of my local Best Buy on the 19th.

I'm dragging my dad to Target the morning it launches, so I can pick up Wii and Zelda (a.k.a. the launch game everyone and their mother is going to buy) before they're all gone.

I just got a chance to play the Wii tonight at the Nintendo Fusion Tour.  And, since I'm too lazy right now to retype everything, forgive me if I link to my blog entry on it.

Absolute Zero - Wii, Wiimote, and Opinoins

The long story short is, I'm now rather concerned about the Wiimote.  I was hoping for great things and looking forward to it, but it seems so far to be somewhat poorly implemented.
