Don't worry, I completely understand Wink

My parents told me that I wouldn't have time for gaming once I got a job, those words still haunt me to this day Tongue but I'm doing my darndest to fight for the time. *sigh* if only I could figure out a way to cut down my hour and a half journey time in the mornings and evenings, that could make all the difference ("learn to drive" has already been put to me but that option is no longer as straightforward as it was).

...sorry, I'm seriously digressing from the topic Embarrassed

Lufia III: The Legend Returns - I actually started this a year ago or so (definitly before graduating High School I'm sure ...) and I kind of left of somewhere due to distractions by other games. xD  I recently picked it up again last summer so yeah  .... I want more Blue Chests in the Ancient Cave. >_>

Finally got some cash, now playing Okami, wihch I have to say is really an impressive game all around, so far (just wish I could ditch the grey borders at the top and bottom. Not just well done, but it's really a joy to play. The Brush is one of the most novel Ideas I've ever seen, and is so well executed. ESPECIALLY the bomb, where the relitive size you draw it determines it's distance? Genuis.

And finally decided to go pick up Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, since the gap between my classes wasn;t getting any shorter. I seriously underestimated how scarece this game had gotten and it took me a good chunk of my afternoon to hunt it down.
Anyway it started off a little shakey, but started getting better and better has hasn;t stopped yet. Funny in places, too, lol

Anyway thanks, all, for the recommendations.

All the games I'm playing so far are JP.

Ookami, Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria, Namco X Capcom(I've had this since it's release, yet never beat it. ><), Tales of Rebirth(kinda), Summon Night: Craft Sword Story 3, Summon Night 2.

Summon Night 2 is so hard...>>

Well, aside from the battle system complexity, the first thing is that, for a long part of the game (most of it, I've heard) if a character dies, it's forever... and that's very likely to happen >.<

Think of it (the system) like Final Fantasy Tactics meets Legend of Dragoon... but maybe my opinion will change playing it, who knows Cheesy

Well after you've had your fill of it, let me know. If the story is entertaining, that's half the battle for me, so to speak. I'd like to justify trying it, but my backlog is.. staggering.. in a word > >i

Gradius V I FINALLY have it! It's really good. Seriously. I still think Gradius Gaiden is better though but it is quite close.

Last Blade 2 Best fighting game, period. Well sue there's Smash Bros and all that but they don't count.

I was playing a few others but I forgot them >_>

Well, since last posting, I finished Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria and got about halfway through its bonus dungeon. Still my favorite RPG ever.

Then Tales of the Abyss came out, and so far has surpassed my expectations. Best Tales ever for sure. I'm about halfway through it I suppose.

I also got the urge to fire up Resident Evil 4 (again). I only got to chapter 1-2, but that satiated my urge to play that game again for now. The village is still pretty intense if you don't use the cheap "knife through the door hole" tactic.

I may as well bring closure on this one: VP Lenneth - I finished the main game about a week ago (got the A ending after only 5+ years) and beat the Iseria Queen yesterday, although I skipped past most of the enemies in that final area of Seraphic Gate (no hampsters for me, I'm afraid).

Currently Playing:
Phoenix Wright - I've nearly finished the third case.
Dragon Quest VIII - Having recently bought a few new games, I now find myself playing the old ones  Roll Eyes
Tales of the Abyss

...I also played the demo of LocoRoco yesterday (not the Halloween one) which I fear may lead to a purchase. Maybe I'll ask for it for christmas (if I spot it cheap enough somewhere).

Well, since last posting, I finished Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria and got about halfway through its bonus dungeon. Still my favorite RPG ever.

Gah! Must... Resist! Well, at least until I've finished TotA... or I could sod playing DQ8 for a while longer Smiley

Edit: killed a smilie or two

I'd like to add Ocarina of Time to my list, since I want to get into the Zelda mood with Twilight Princess around the corner...

Trying out Rule of Rose, not sure what to think of it yet...

"Combat" (I use the term losely) is horridly executed for sure, but the game's kind of neat so far. Earns big points for uniqueness, though I admit I've never been a survivial-horror player
