FF4DS though remade and added new Augment system and etc; but ashame they never added everything from the GBA version and be able to play as Porom, Palom, Cid, Yang, and Edward + the optional dungeon.
I've never played the GBA version. Though as much as I love Yang, I wouldn't dare part with the game's main party.
Plus I hear Yang's stats get screwed up once he's beyond level 70.
Though I would like to see how uber Edward becomes >_>

Who cares about stats if you can get them all a Glass Mask, Adamant Armor, Crystal Ring best gear in the game; but take about maybe months or years but if your lucky enough first try. Basically I only have 3 set of all of them and still missing 2 set and that took me close to a year and half to find. Though this version is a remade in 3D I still say the GBA version is still by far the best.

Speaking of FF, I'm playing
Chocobo Racing
. Bahamut is broken, IMO...especially when I'm the one playing as him.
I've been thinking about giving Etrian Odyssey a shot, too...

I love the game too. Now I wish I knew it existed when I had a PS1.
EDIT: Playing
Clock Tower
on the PS1. I'm so lost...and it doesn't help that Jennifer won't run when she's being chased by Scissorman.

Currently playing some Wii Motion Plus games...Wii Sports Resort and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010. The TW game is tons of fun, despite not being much of a golf fan.
I really wish the games for Motion Plus would come out already.
Also just beat Tales of Graces and working on beating Twilight Princess (Yup, still haven't finished it due to lack of interest when it came out, feel like beating it now that the new one's supposedly coming out this year).

Currently in a quarter-life crisis, juggling school, upcoming graduation, bad job market, and games =p
Doesn't help I got a new laptop that can play a lot of the more recent games, plus a new monitor. But these were justified purchases: always wanted a bigger monitor so I can see more when coding, and got the new laptop since my old one has that HP problem and crapped out.
Currently playing
Twilight Princess
on Gamecube since it's one of the last great GCN games that I didn't have yet. Already played it on my friend's Wii like a year or two ago or something, but at least this has the whole mirror of the other version thing going for it. When I first started up the game it already threw me off with that, but it's also been so long since I played that I forgot a lot of the puzzles and stuff so it feels like a semi-new experience. Making progress on it every few weekends. I find myself saving at the entrance of a dungeon, then I clear the dungeon, do as many sidequests as I can before entering the next dungeon, and save at the entrance for the next time I pick up the game.
On my fancy new laptop, playing
Batman: Arkham Asylum
. Already beat the main game and got all the riddler challenges and stuff, just got 3 of the challenge maps left, the last three extreme predator missions. Damn good game that anyone who can play it should, even if you aren't the biggest Batman fan (though it certainly makes it better if you are).

After a little break I'm back to making some progress in
Etrian Odyssey II: Heroes of Lagaard
. Cleared some of those crappy sidequests, completed 12F (which I think has the coolest level design in the game so far) and have made some serious headway into 13F. I want to finish this game before EO3 is announced for US.
I'm starting to wonder about something in this game, though. EO1 worked best if you made your characters specialize in certain skills. In EO2, I'm not sure if it matters nearly as much. It seems like skills get superficially stronger yet at the same time they cost loads of more TP. It often seems like it's not worth the skill points. I still need to run some tests to be sure, though. At least the game doesn't penalize you as much to redistribute your skill points as the first game did.

Currently playing
Final Fantasy XII
. Oh my god, this has to be the longest FF title ever. I'm currently in Archades and have played over 50 hours already so far. There is so much to do, I decided to stop doing hunts and sidequests for a while so that I can focus on the "main story".

And I'm doing the opposite in
Rogue Galaxy
. Hunting quarries to I can reach rank 1 and get myself a Platinum license.
EDIT:
New Super Mario Bros. Wii
time!

Reached the fourth stratum. This place has my favorite music in the game and the scenery is very nice as well.
I temporarily forgot that my Force skills even existed and didn't use them against the third stratum boss. I feel like I simply got VERY lucky to actually defeat her. Her Embrace attack always missed my Ronin, and if it weren't for my Ronin's maxed out Midareba, I probably would have lost anyway.
Anyways, I decided to read up the on the skills FAQ so I could make better decisions. I had to Rest my Landsknecht and completely redo her because her build was total lulzfail. Plus I didn't realize the chaser skills also worked with axes in this game. It's kind of nice that a decent Axesknecht build has so few essential skills, which leaves a lot of extra points for the stat ups.

Yeah I found I had to do that as well. The game is just...big, really.
Too
big. After doing a ton of hunts in between story events my clock ran up to nearly 70 hrs. And Im just barely past halfway of the game.
Now that the FF12International has an English patch I plan on exploiting the feature to speed things up, as well the other bonuses, and just play FF12 another day.
That said, while Im waiting on it to dl, currently playing
Tales of Symphonia
PS2
. Just can't get enough of TOS

My favorite stratum, for the reasons you've just mentioned. Though some of the enemies there are pretty nasty (Venombugs).

skills FAQ
The skills FAQ is horribly outdated and is biased towards War Magi for some reason (Personally I find them to be better support characters than Medics since they're not extremely slow and can do more than just heal >_>)
Don't feel like making a new post.
Playing
Star Ocean 4 International
at the moment. I'm happy I didn't need to get a 360 for it in the end! Overall though its a bit dissapointing. The plot seems to be worse than the other games and the battle system isn't as good as SO3's.
Though it is a lot like the older games as far as battles are concerned. I'm personally not a huge fan of the blindsides mechanic however. Also the targetting system is quite possibly the worst one ever.

I hate those damned moths. Confusion is the worst ailment ever. The instant kill by the big flowers is pretty annoying too. Screw Flygourds, as well (since my characters aren't well-versed in Volt attacks)...it took me way too long to remember to use Haltshot.

They need to update it or something, I guess. I was getting pretty tired of my War Magus since he was being treated as nothing more than a regular Medic but with fewer skills with the tradeoff being higher defense/HP. I don't know if his Salve 2 is going to be enough for the post-game, and it would sure be nice to have someone who can heal petrification. On the other hand, Warmight + Ronin's Dead Law + Midareba is a pretty nice combo...attack damage is basically doubled or better.
Also, what the HELL did they do to the Alchemist in this game. I can not see any reason to use them, at all. Their skills cost WAY too much TP for pathetic damage. Ronins and Gunners do MORE elemental damage for far less TP. I mean...what the hell, again...
On another note, for some reason I want to do a replay the game with 3 Ronins in the front, and a Protector and War Magus (or Medic) in the back.

Agreed. Its particularly annoying. But I like it when my Dark Hunter inflicts it =)

If you give them a Sword they'll often go first. The TEC boost from staves isn't worth it. Also War Magi have the 3rd highest defense stat in the game. Yeah, kinda odd =/

Salve 2 is strong enough. Assuming it's maxed along with Warmagic (Or whatever its called, I forget) mastery it should alway be able to fully heal your party (Or at least close to full health).
Quote

Petrify sucks but its a rare status anyway (Though not as rare as it was in EO1). I think Medishot can heal it, I'm not too sure.

Yeah Alchemists are the worst class (One could argue Survs, but their field abilities make up for their lack of attack power). Its a glitch in their magic formula calculation. It limits the Damage% they can reach with their spells. I never really liked them anyway. They were annoying to use in EO1 snce they used a lot of TP in that too =|
(Though they did decent damage in that at least!)

That could work pretty well. Ronin are pretty "bulky" with both Shiraha and Clarity (Plus you got a Protector to draw hits away or soften them).
