I'm now playing around with Crimson Gem Saga on PSP, ATLUS USA's latest release. It's a nice little throwback to the 16-bit era of RPGs in general design. It doesn't try to break new ground, but it does have some nice music in places. The title screen music is even an almost complete ripoff of Terra's theme from Final Fantasy VI. The battles are a little slower than I'd like, but it seems to be fun little romp if you wanna play a new "old" game.

Also, I just got RemoteJoyLite working on my PSP. I can now play the system as if it was another console! Full screen video on my 46" TV and you can map the PSP buttons to a PC gamepad (I have my wireless Logitech PS2 pad connected). So much better than the PSP-2000's component cable it isn't funny.

I use the headphone port. Either with headphones proper or a cable to connect it to my PC's line-in jack.

uhg jealous! The main reason I got a psp was because I could hack (should have just gotten a ds and a flash cart) but I got a psp 3000 without knowing I needed to downgrade the firmware (which I have no way of doing).

I am currently playing Melty Blood Act Cadenza for PS2 and PC.
I cant beleive how much Miyako rocks, I am so stopping to use White len (she was my main before, but she is total crap compared to Miyako).
Seriously shows what a fighter can be, I cant wait for Actress again for PS2 and play as Roa! Cheesy
I wonder if there are any other fighters like these...

Mostly Disgaea 3 and Super Robot Wars Advance Portable. I picked up Crimson Gem Saga yesterday. I didn't play it that long, but I have a feeling I'll like it. But for now, I'm just going to keep playing SRW. It's messing up my sleep patterns, though. I guess, just whatever games I'm playing now, they're compelling enough to make me lose sleep.

Okay, I'm playing Guitar Hero: World Tour (Xbox 360).  Okay, I admit it.  I rented it to play Stan Bush's The Touch.  Otherwise, I'm still playing Rock Band 2.

Of course, I'm still playing Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom a lot.  Since Capcom made pigs fly, unicorns appearing in the wild, and dogs and cats living together (i.e. they're actually localizing the game), I figure continue with my head start.  Now I'm hearing the localized version will have online play and new characters.

Which brings up something for me...people actually want Speed Racer in the game?  Umm...I'm not getting it.  He feels like a character thrown in a joke for commentary on "lame choices for fighters" but others wanting him in and with a straight face.  Not to mention, I've started watching the old series on Hulu and I'm not convinced in him being a fighter (Yes, I did see him hitting a few bad guys but I don't really see anything significant for him to get a spot as a fighter).  What's next?  Phoenix Wright enters the fighting arena?  Tales of VS. throws in...I better cut myself off right there.

And then games I won't list right now that I'm trying to catch up on.

OK, I can't stay on course when I'm buying games. I was gonna buy Star Ocean 3 but I ended up taking Resident Evil 4 instead. Last time, I was gonna buy Super Smash Bros. Brawl but I took home Persona 4.

I'm prone to do that sort of thing as well or I go to a store to buy one specific thing and buy it in bulks. It's funny how that goes.

As for what I'm playing: Lufia II, it is the true essence of classic RPGs set back in the early 1990's. I like it just as much Tales of Phantasia which has got to be my favorite to date.

Lennus II is another one I'm playing which is another classic, it's a sequel to Paladin's quest. Nothing really compares to these old RPGs. I'd rather play something that isn't as flashy but has an epic plot and battles. I guess that seperates this gen with the old one.

If you know where to look, not really. I know quite a few PS2 RPGs that are just as epic and fun as any SNES/PSX game. Don't know about this current gen though.

I beat Tales of Rebirth but now I'm putting Tales of Destiny 2 on hold. I'm not touching it until I beat Tales of Destiny.

EDIT: It's sad how one of my friends thought Barbatos was a woman.

Been playing Capcom Classics Collection Remixed. Played Magic Swords but at the end, I pressed X by accident and got the bad ending. Now, I'm gonna play Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max.

EDIT: I've been playing Super Ghouls n' Ghosts. This game is addicting and it keeps pulling me back in despite the fact that I hate this series with a passion(would it kill them to make me die in 5 hits instead)! I guess I like this one. Don't kill me!

Recently beat Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled. Loved the game, but the random encounter rate was awful. If Studio Archcraft ever gets to do a bug-fix re-release (freezing, a double-tech not working, monster appraisal gauge not working), they ought to trim down the encounter rate (to somewhere between 50%-60% of what it currently is) and perhaps raise common monster EXP rewards a little bit as well to make up for it. I hate to admit it, but I ended up keeping my physical copy of the game sealed and just used my flash cart so I could curb the random encounters with cheat codes.

But, other than those issues, the story was excellent and I enjoyed it very much. There were a few moments where I expected the characters to react to the situation in regards to the back-story, and they didn't make a peep, but oh well. Still a very awesome game once you see past its flaws.

Not sure what I'll play next... I'm pretty much restricted to DS gaming so maybe I'll replay one of the Castlevanias again, or play the first two Monkey Island games in ScummVM DS-- Oh wait, I've got The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, which just came out, but I don't have a DVD drive in my computer... Curses.

Finally got an Xbox 360. Just beat Star Ocean: The Last Hope. It's as if Tri-Ace made this game as an apology for SO3. The story was fantastic, with some really great twists (Faize as the final boss? That was pretty awesome. Fighting him for two hours as Satanail was not so awesome. Not 100% sure of my opinions on Edge's character development, though. Still better than Fayt Leinclod, at least. Battle system was button-mashy for the first twenty hours, but it doesn't take a genius to realize this has better game design than SO3.

Playing Tales of Vesperia now. I already know most of the story playing with a friend, but I'm really enjoying journeying through the game's world for myself. Just about to beat Ghasforast. Playing it now, I can't help but think "Hey, I beat they did this or that because of the PS3 version" but that's besides the point. Going to be pretty hard playing Graces after seeing this beautiful cel-shading.
