About a week ago, I needed order something from Amazon, but it wasn't enough to get free shipping. I wasn't satisfied with any of the filler items so I just ended up adding a DS game I was fairly interested in--
Avalon Code
--for the filler item. Instead of throwing it on my backlog like everything else, I decided to give it a whirl.
Mm...well, it has gorgeous box art, and nice 3D graphics by DS standards. I'm not really sold on the game itself yet, though. Only just a couple hours in, and menu navigation is a really big pain (the fact that it seems to require picking up the stylus every time doesn't help much). This code system especially is already getting cumbersome, and I can only see the annoyance getting worse as the game progresses.
The DS Lite d-pad isn't being friendly to my thumb and I keep wishing I could use an analog stick.
Currently stuck in a room I have no idea how to exit. Judgment Link juggling is kind of addicting.

I'm still playing Resident Evil 5. It seems like I won't stop soon.
However, I did get myself new PSP game.
Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?
Yes, I never played any Disgaea game, yet I bought an action platformer involving those exploding penguins. I have to say, it really shows that NIS may have played Ghosts and Goblins too much. It's not only punishingly difficult, but its mechanics must have been inspired by it. You know how you make Arthur jump, you can't control him midair and that you really have to make sure you're dedicated to that jump because of that? Yeah, the Prinny does just that too (and even borrowing the double jump from Super Ghouls and Ghosts). Anyway, it's a very enjoyable game. The same way I enjoyed Ghosts and Goblins...swearing at the screen because that enemy was in the way of my jump but I go back in for more. I don't know if I'll truly hang the "Masochists only" sign around Prinny.
Oh yeah, I'm also renting out...
Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia
(PS2). I can say I feel that guilty pleasure about that game and I can say I am enjoying it but I am sensing that "too easy" thing mentioned by Cless previously.

No one's posted here in awhile.
I recently picked up Zettai Zetsumei Toshi 3 (絶体絶命都市3) for PSP, and I'm loving it so far. It's a survival game; you, the main character, are on a bus heading to new city, where you will start university. However, in the undersea tunnel just before arriving in the city, a gigantic earthquake strikes. You start off stuck in the undersea tunnel and must make your way to the shelter in the city (though I'm not sure what happens once you reach it, I'm not there yet). Along the way, you rescue a few people. The gameplay never fails to be exciting, because everything's so unexpected; aftershocks occur, and there are things like fires, collapsing structures, and flying cars you have to watch out for.
Truth be told, the idea of the game majorly creeped me out (it still does, I refuse to play it on the subway) but it's a heck of a lot of fun. Plus, the theme song is absolutely beautiful. Check out the trailer here:

There's a demo available (though in Japanese) so you should check that out even if you can't import it! The prequels (絶体絶命都市 & 絶体絶命都市2 in Japanese, Disaster Report & Raw Danger in the US) are also available, though personally I think the PSP version is far superior.

Just got a 'copy' of Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories for ps2. Its really fun, but there are some frequent spots of frustration with using the cards in mid fight. And the whole Disney meets Square Enix still has me turned off, but im getting more used to it.
Also started a second play of TOD2; but this time, with an ENG menu patch. What a godsend.....

Oh so the game you're talking about is a sequel to Disater Report + Raw Danger. I think ive seen some footage of it before; was a great idea for a game, and executed nicely.

Got
Punch-Out!!
for Wii the other day. It's a really great blast from the past. It's a pure game that isn't loaded with useless bloat that artificially extends the playtime like with most games these days. Instead it's a short game with a lot of challenge, much like its predecessors and other games of their era.
The motion controls, though gimmicky for all intents and purposes, are quite usable and fun to use. Much better implemented than Wii Sports Boxing by astronomical magnitude.

I haven't gotten the Wii Punch Out!! myself yet but I have downloaded Super Punch Out for Wii's Virtual Console and found myself playing that. Still reminds me why Punch Out, even after so many years of inactivity and its age, never went out of style. I even find myself wanting to make those boxers kiss the mat quickly.

And look at it this way. At least you're not playing the NES Punch Out with the Power Glove! That's certainly a one way ticket to the embarrassment that is losing to Glass Joe.
Now outside of Punch Out, I did buy
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
(Xbox 360) for cheap (I paid $7 for it). The game got some mixed reviews (and I acknowledge that Star Wars games, as far as quality goes, are pretty hit and miss). From what I'm playing right now, it's an okay game but I still have more to play before making a call on it.

Got......
...a week ago. Recruting demons is fun(now if I can do that in real life) even though the awesome ones are a pain in the neck to get. At the start of Chapter 2.
Borrowed...
't
I seriously f***ing suck at this game. I borrowed it a week ago and STILL can't get past the first parts(mainly due to the fact that I'm concentrating on Persona 4). And I thought I couldn't be more of a failure as this game as I.....wait I failed worse my first time playing the games(4th time I playedMetal Gear).
EDIT: My dog is an assasin. Her target, the Devil Summoner plushie.

How much grade do you need to get everything in the grade shop (or at least the things you want)?

I only need about 13,000, since I don't need stuff like double Gald or double GRADE (Gald doesn't matter due to 99x items and the casino, and I'll already have more than enough GRADE).

Got......
Same. Halfway through Chapter 2 now. Still hate the demon negotiation aspect, even if it's much more tolerable and entertaining this time around.
