well i liked it when u run into you know where and everyone has their weapons sheath and ur whole party has a wtf moment. after that though the game went downhill. i shrudder at the thought of having to do a new game plus. i should return the game to my friend soon. Good thing i didnt buy it. Also the changing of the battle music was stupid.
my final verdict:
star ocean disc 1: 8/10
star ocean disc 2: epic fail
ps. i just noticed now the reason behind fayts picture on disc one.

Really? I thought it was the other way around......Disc One was just lots of running around in NON-futuristic stuff while Disc Two kinda brought back that future-ish feeling.

Im pretty sure I know what it was, but just in case......what was it?

Okay, so it's pretty much a month before I can play the full version of Tales of Vesperia. What do I do? Go play a game I should have played 2 years ago!
That game is Okami...well I'm playing the Wii version. It's very good and the art is superb. So far, it's pretty engaging. Hopefully it stays that way. No, it has nothing to do with Itagaki recently stating he hated Okami.
Also, there's the whole "Why didn't I get Soul Calibur IV yet?"

After a long break I got back into
Etrian Odyssey 2
. I ditched the Survivalist in favor of a Dark Hunter and my Medic for a War Magus. So far I'm loving both new characters.
The Dark Hunter is extremely useful in boss fights and Climax is a fantastic move. And the War Magus almost never dies and her buff spells are very useful. I'm a bit sad that Survivalists are useless in combat now though =(
Also I'm still attempting to complete
Star Ocean 3
, which is a task in itself considering the stiff battle system and somewhat high difficulty. I will succeed though! Eventually.
Also
Grim Grimoire
which is a Vanillaware game. Like every Vanillaware game out there it has strong music, graphics and story. Gameplay isn't quite weak though, in fact its pretty decent unlike Odin Sphere where the gameplay is unbearable.
It would've been nice if the battle arenas looked different though. Seeing the same castle battle area can get boring.

I've been meaning to get that game for some time actually =/
I plan to get the PS2 version though since I'm not a fan of the Wii Nunchuck controls. Though I did grit my way through the Wii version of Zelda:TP >_>

I resumed the ToS playthrough I started a month ago, I'm in the last section of
Derris-Kharlan
, so there's not much more to go. I'll more than likely have it finished tomorrow.
I'm going for a Raine ending (got her scenes in Flanoir and Heimdall). I wonder if anyone has bothered to try archiving those two scenes plus the ending segment for every character (preferably in video form, didn't see anything on a quick youtube search). Would be useful for anyone not having the time to go through the whole game a billion times.
Maybe I was remembering this game slightly better than I thought I did, as most of the research notes I took for the ToP project while playing the game were largely pretty minor things.
After one point, I started playing the game in a shameful manner (setting every battle character on Auto, letting the game play itself...). I guess the primitiveness of this game's system started getting to me or something.
What to do next... perhaps I should get up to speed and finish that freaking Abyss playthrough I started when the game came out here. But I don't know if I should just start the game over or just try to reabsorb the story using the synopsis feature...

This site
has archived all the flanoir scenes plus the rejections. Not the Heimdall and endings though. Sort of surprised the site's still around and functioning, since it hasn't been updated for a long time.

Synopsis is there for a reason, although it was somewhat meant for those who only took a little break and only needed to read back a few entries. Reading the whole synopsis up to your point is faster than playing through the game again and you have all the major plot points in there. One would probably play the game over again if they just
had
to witness all the events first-hand again and not want to miss a single detail.

Usually when I'm doing a new playthrough I tend to aim at another character for those two scenes. I got Colette on my first playthrough (Naturally) and then Sheena and Raine on my next two. I plan to do so for Presea and Zelos as well though I tend to not use Zelos a lot in battle. My party tends to always be Lloyd, Presea, Genis and Raine =/
Anyway...
Up to post-game stuff in
Etrian Odyssey 2
now. The final boss was actually pretty easy. The first form has a predictable attack pattern and the second form can't really do much when you bind him... which is pretty easy considering I was attacking with both Smite and Cuffs putting in a high chance of Arm bind =/
6th stratum enemies are really nasty though. One enemy can fully heal all enemies and another can cast defense up and attack down spells =(
Still going through
Star Ocean 3
==;
Also still going through
Grim Grimoire
, I've almost finished the game too actually. The last few battles are chaos.
Also
Wild ARMS 2
. I haven't finished this in ages for some reason so I'm starting through it again. I don't why I lost motivation on finishing it, I blame it on the Millennium Puzzle thing ==;

I've been back to playing
Dead Rising
. I was practically playing it all day two days ago and I thought I beaten it where it was suppose to be a downer ending...only to find out there's more. So now, I'm out to finish this game. While there are some major flaws with the game (dumb AI along with real time clashing with objectives), it's still a great game nonetheless.
Also, I'm playing a remake of a classic game I never played.
Bionic Commando: Rearmed
(Xbox Live Arcade). Oh I'm loving the bionic arm mechanic and it's a blast to play! Worthy download!

WoW
Honestly, I'm never going to unhook from this game. It's gonna drag me back again and again until the end of time.
Super Robot Wars MX
FINALLY managed to find a torrent of this game, so I decided to try it out. Seems ok so far. I gotta say, Alpha 3 is a lot more polished. You can't even use more than one Seishin at a time in this game. Attack animations are less detailed, and while sprites look worse than they do in Alpha 3, the character portraits and stuff look better in this.
Fate/Stay Night
Going through Unlimited Blade Works again. God, Archer is such a whiny douche in this route. Thank god Lancer more than makes up for it.
Curse of Monkey Island
I've always loved this game, and even though I've memorized every single puzzle in the game, it's still fun to go through.
God Hand
No words needed. This MS Paint comic says it all.

Right now I'm playing final fantasy crisis core and final fantasy tactics war of the lions. I'm really not liking crisis core right now. It's just the same thing over and over again. Especially with the damn missions yeesh. The story is good though. I'd say crissis cores story is more complete and well rounded then ff7. I don't have to suffer through wounderful writing like "that guy are sick." or have to read "!@#!$!#". They even had shit and shi't interchangeably like the didn't even edit the script at all. I'm loving the fft remake for the psp. The gameplay for me is deep and engaging. The new script is a joy to read aswell.

Isnt it? Im actually holding off my playthrough and only doing random battles just to make the game last forever X3 I loved the one for ps1 and got obsessed with it, despite the fact I had no idea what was going on. Now I have
some
sort of clue what the story is!
