I'll just say it right now.  I have too many fighting games on me that I now have a hard time picking a fight.  Let's just say I bought Virtua Fighter 5 (Xbox 360) and when I play it, I'm wondering what Sega put in that game to make me feel addicted to it.  Not to mention, I preordered Tekken 6 while I was at it.

Just when I finally decided to get Audiosurf (PC) off of Steam, I just caught them at the right time when they were charging $5 rather than $10.  Yeah, it's addicting that I feel I need to play more songs on it!

Also, I don't know if it's because it's October or I just want that "Real Mega Buster" but I found myself playing Dead Rising (Xbox 360) again.  Ah yeah, back to killing zombies with whatever I can get my hands on.

Frank West.  He covered wars, ya know.  (Yes, I had to say it).

Speaking of Frank West, he's confirmed in Tatsunoko Vs Capcom: Ultimate All Stars.  Oh yeah, and he looks fun to play.  I should make sure to keep my skill up to par...or better than par.

Since I'm still on TvC, I should back and reply to a certain message from 2008 now.

... is it too much to hope for tekkaman blade being in there? it is a (early 90's) revival of a classic series, i believe.

You want Tekkaman Blade?  You want Tekkaman Blade?  Do you really want Tekkaman Blade?

You got him! Grin

Just needed to say that now.

Trying to complete the hordes of things available in Final Fantasy Dissidia. I haven't completed Shade Impulse chapters yet, so Im still pretty fresh into the game.Been sorta busy going through college for the first time and FINALLY getting my class C liscense. Very behind.

Also saw a copy of Suikoden IV for a very cheap price the other day, and nabbed it. Not far at all in this one either, but its not too bad from what ive seen so far. Battling, unfortunately, is almost too straight forward in my opinion, but I guess thats from playing Suikoden V already.

Demon's Souls. Need a hard game that's tough, but also exceptionally well-designed? Well, Demon's Souls is the answer.

I really wasn't sure I was going to like this. I actually didn't know what I was really getting myself into; I only knew that it was some kinda tough RPG-type game, being published by good 'ol ATLUS USA. A perfect match for them, basically.

I finally beat the first "level" of the game. I died a bunch of times but it wasn't TOO bad. Lots of time spent getting used to the game and all. It still teaches you to be extremely careful and not be reckless...and sometimes even that's not enough. The next level is clearly showing that this game totally means business. If I'm not mistaken, this level seems a lot shorter, but I died more on a certain group of enemies than any particular area in the first one. I finally got lucky and managed to beat them, but the boss that was waiting just past them handed me my ass.

I can't seem to play this game without the guide it came with. I can only imagine what the hell it's going to be throwing at me later, seeing how early I still am. haha Oh well, the core mechanics of the game are really well designed. Overcoming tough things is very satisfying.

Cloud's my main. I guess it was sort of inevitable since FF7 was the first final fantasy I ever played, and it forever remains my most favorite FF(next to FF9), so I picked him up quick. He levels up very very easily too(already around level 90).
Also just unlocked Shantotto and Gabranth and finished their stories.

So I got Soulcalibur IV. I would have gotten it yesterday but the price was $30. The following happened:

1. I misread the price tag.
Or
2. The economy got worse and the price was raised or something.

Anyway, I created gladiator-type character named Goliath. Using Zasalamel's style. I like this game WAY more than Broken Destiny. This is one of the few games that I'll let slide despite not having a decent story mode. Please Namco, make a SC5.

I'm also playing Persona 4...again. Trying to get all S-Links in one run.

Disgaea 2 - Got back to this after Persona 1 distracted me.

I am currently playing the hell out of the bayoneta first climax demo that was released on xbox live and psn in japan. I'm playing the xbox version which is completely in english but it was only available in japan... That didn't make any sense to me at all lol. I already knew that the original audio track for the game was english but the psn demo had japanese text. Any way it's a pocket full of awesome and I didn't even really like the devil may cry games.

I just need to chime in one more time to say how freaking awesome Demon's Souls is. Nothing like a good 'ol adrenaline rush because of a somewhat tense atmosphere. Haven't gotten that feeling since experiencing RE4 the first few times. I've beaten a few levels and have been exploring a couple others.

Seems this game is selling fantastically well, too. Atlus deserves it, even if they didn't have to do much since the game was in English to begin with. Hopefully they try to pick up 7th Dragon with the proceeds...

Demon's Souls isn't full of nothing but fetch quests, right?

I can't say I've run into any real fetch quests at all. I found an item while exploring and a guy said it was his, but I never initiated any kind of quest with him.

The game isn't story-intensive (at least so far), but isn't loaded with lame fetch quests to make up for it either. The game's mostly about exploring non-linear levels and beating bosses...and mastering the gameplay mechanics to stay alive (leveling, though still important, takes a major backseat to skill in this game).

I hope so too. 7th Dragon is a fantastic game and its pretty clear SEGA aren't very willing to release it themselves (Which is fair enough. Their RPGs don't sell too well outside of Japan).

Anyway currently playing Dragon Quest IX. The only other DQ game I've ever played was III. Though so far this game seems to be a lot harder than it. Probably because class changing is much more important this time around.

Also Muramasa. The game is kinda like the opposite of Odin Sphere or something since the gameplay isn't the weakest point; its the story this time =/

Not bad but it does have Odin Sphere's repetition problem as well. (At least they don't recycle bosses)

And Disgaea 2 Dark Hero Days since its basically an improved version of the best Disgaea. Angel class ^_^

I still main Cecil but I'm leaning towards using Golbez more. The main reason I'm trying to main both is because Final Fantasy IV is pretty much my favorite FF >_>

Haven't heard about it until now. Might take a look into it.

Almost done with Demon's Souls...possibly. The boss of level 1-4 is absolutely insane...I simply don't think I have the reflexes to beat this guy. I'm horrible at timing, so dodging is very hard to do. Up until this point I've managed to power through most things using my shield, but it's nearly useless in this fight. I can't give up though--there are still some things to try.

I still have all of world 5 to do, and they say the second level of that is an absolute nightmare.

I'm slowly making my way through Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Not so bothered about the recycling now that I'm not playing it as frequently, it's much easier to take in shorter doses. Been soloing Mission Mode too (mostly 'cause I'm the only person I know locally who even has the game) for earning crowns. Also, not knowing which days I'm due for a Rank promotion is making me kind of paranoid because I don't want to miss anything. Oh well. The storyline is still keeping me preoccupied enough, I think I'm about halfway through it now.

I've also been playing The Lord of the Rings Online, but nobody wants to hear about MMOs. I'll say this though, I like the greater focus on consistent storyline and lore (with a couple of *ahem* exceptions) than most other MMORPGs ever bother with, and the casual/solo-friendly game play no matter what class you are, yet still open to the "hardcore" playstyles if one is so inclined towards that.

Just recently started my own file for Devil May Cry 3, several years later after playing it at a friends house. Im quickly reminded why I so easily shifted from action games to action rpgs, as I suck at action games. Plus, DMC3 isnt really a piece of cake on its own, anyway. It was almost embarrasing when Easy mode popped up after dying from the first boss three times.   Embarrassed

On the rpg note, I nabbed a cheap copy of Final Fantasy X. Yeah, I havent really played it myself, even after all these years(though i did complete FF XII through a friend's copy). Its pretty fun, and I like the adventurous way the story progresses. Also the minute changes to the battle system are worth noting. I was never a huge fan of the ATB gauge, and switching out characters is pretty helpful.
