... is it too much to hope for tekkaman blade being in there? it is a (early 90's) revival of a classic series, i believe.

Forgot about that one. I'm mostly considering things that came out within the last year or two, though, since the timing coincides with the around the time TvC was announced.
Haven't either Tekkaman or Tekkaman Blade, but doubt Blade can match the original's
SPACE LANCE!

Well, Casshern SINS has little to do with the original series, which is the incarnation of Casshern that appears in TvC, at least according to the abstracts of the original series' story that I've seen. Original Casshern was apparently about a human that volunteered to be turned into a robot to stop berserk robots, somewhat like how Mega Man volunteered to be turned from a house robot to a fighting robot. It actually sort of makes it sound like Mega Man stole the idea since Casshern came out in the 70s before Mega Man.
Looks to me that new Yatterman and Casshern SINS (dunno how many more there are) are to tie in with TvC as a revival of classic Tatsunoko franchises.
Yeah, I read about the backstory of Casshern. I was actually wondering if SINS was a modern day remake or if it has any continuity with the original (though it looks like it's the former). Either Casshern SINS hasn't explored his origin story yet or they're not planning to for this one.

Oh man! Talk about your hilarious corny dubs! Makes me want to caption this shot from the third Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom Trailer now!
Tekkaman: I'm beating up Alex from Street Fighter III with my SPACE LANCE!
Alex: This is going to be painful!
Tekkaman: Next, I'll beat up Batsu from Rival Schools, who teamed up with Alex! Batsu will be beaten up by my SPACE LANCE!
Yeah, pretty much, the original Tekkaman is in there.

I bought the indie game
Audiosurf
from Steam. The idea was intriguing enough; the game runs off YOUR music collection. And the price was more than right, so I had to give it a try.
It's some sort of puzzler that resembles a racing game. It generates the all the track properties by analyzing an mp3 or other audio file (that you can select). Then you play the level to the music depending on the rules set for the "character" you selected to play as. There are lots of bumps and other things that come in sync with the beats and notes of the song. It's a pretty fun way to re-approach your music collection, maybe play with a song you haven't bothered to listen to in a while. It works best with fast paced busy tunes. Mega Man 2 Dr. Wily Stage 1 is crazy.
It has some annoying graphic glitches, but was well worth the promotional price of ten quarters. More games that generate content from user files, please!

oh wow lol, that's one TERRIBLE dub.
but yeah, having tekkaman blade in there would be like 100x awesomer, even as a secret character or something (maybe an alternate costume, especially if complete with voicing and moves and stuff).
for example, ridiculous win:
(final duel, obviously second-to-last ep spoilers:)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hbc0Z8Oea9s
(blastor evil's armor is freakin awesome)
the US version of the dub was pretty win too, btw.

I'm playing a little Tales of Vesperia again to build up enough grade to have enough to buy what I want from the grade shop for my next playthrough.
While I did say I'm playing Viewtiful Joe in response to seeing him again, I tend to forget I haven't got back into playing Clover Studio's other game, Okami.
I'm probably mentioning this because I just needed an excuse to link this politically induced fanart someone did parodying Okami's PS2 box art that even Capcom had to show off on their community site and a reminder of me needing to play the game more
.

Finally finishing up Final Fantasy 1, so the 15 bucks or so I spent on the FF1 + 2 collection wont go to waste. Its really fun, and strangely addicting, too bad the music gets old after a while. But it was the first one after all......
Also hooked on TODDC. Man, the more I play, the more I wish it was released over here...such a good 2d tales game!!

Star Ocean 1 PSP
. Hate, hate, hate the English voices. They're better than SO2's but they're annoying. Haven't played much though since the World Map is laggy on my PSP which gets in the way of my grinding Ratix to level 12 at the start of the game.

DRAGON BALL Z INFINTE WORLD
great game best so far on ps2 from budokai series
for me
.
It's shame that there is no at least "good RPG" on ps2 lately eh. New year is almost there and it's hardly to see any.
Is it time to move to other consoles
<PS3><Wii>
??

Like Atlus stuff? Devil Summoner: King Abaddon is fantastic, reused locations and music aside. Persona 4 is pretty good too. And Eternal Poison just came out recently.

Move on as soon as you get the chance.
And I suggest moving on to either the Wii or Xbox 360. Forget about the PS3. People think, that because the PS2 was an RPG powerhouse the PS3 is the same.
Wrong.
The Xbox 360 has more RPGs, both JRPGs and WRPGs than the PS3. And I can see the Xbox 360 being the next "PS2 of it's generation" as in it'll have lots of different types of titles for lots of different types of gamers. Don't get me wrong. I'm no 360 fanboy. I just call it as I see it.
My favorite system in the previous generation was the PS2, the PS1 before that and the Super Nintendo before that. So I've been around the block when it comes to favorite console manufacturers. (Nintendo, Sony, Sony, Microsoft)
A Wii would be nice too I guess. You can never go wrong with Nintendo, but I have really found no reason to play my Wii for more than one or two hours at a time lately. I was hoping Symphonia: DotNW would fix that for me, but it didn't.

now playing fable 2. seems they took a step back when it comes to interfacing. no more hotkeys no instant spell cycling, and worst no armor. looking foward to trade this in after the announcement on monday.
