If anyone is deserving of a slap, it's me, not you. In fact, it's not a slap that should come my way, it's a beating. I mean, I'm the punk that's too dumb to realize that Tales of Legendia is...*refrain from swearing* pure garbage and Tales of the Abyss is the greatest Tales there ever was.
Yeah, I'm still not over my whole, "I'm a douchebag that thinks Tales of Legendia wasn't so bad" and "I'm a moron that thinks Tales of the Abyss was horrible and horrible enough that I rather play Tales of Legendia again." Certainly, you aren't someone that should get what's coming.
Anyway, I haven't been playing much. Just threw in some multiplayer
Starcraft
with friends over here via LAN connection. At least I'm finally getting better with that game.
Also been playing random NES games since I have it connected for the time being (My sister just gave it to me but there was no proper AC Adaptor). I somehow got too into using my NES Advantage controller (that NES joystick).
After this week, I will finally get back to my normal games I'm playing. Crazy two weeks kept me away from my normal Now Playing list.
I can't tell if you're being serious or not, but you really shouldn't beat yourself up for having a different opinion. Who really cares in the long run?
I beat the first Phoenix Wright and moved onto the second one.

12, 21, it's all the same. Yeah yeah, so I typo a lot... : P
I actually bought To Legendia as an afterthought and didn't really expect much from it (so maybe that's why), but I found it to be much better then I had thought it was going to be. Although I never got around the finishing it (halfway done Grune's part), I came away quite pleased with most of it. Was pretty to look at for the most part, the battles were fun (if a bit too plentiful) and the
amazingly ugly
characters and their personalities all were well fleshed out.
I honestly can;t see why you're so paranoid of reception of your opinion, Cless A., most people here appear to be rational, and if someone really wants to make a big deal about it, you should laugh at
them
, if anything. Criticizing someone's personal enjoyment/appreciation of a game is utterly unfathomable. : P

In response to my view on my own views, well, it's a pretty long one to explain and there's certain things I've definitely need to go over but I'm going to get to that in another topic.
Haven't got anything new on my Now Playing list but I just need to make that response.

There was another thread that Cless A started about this sort of thing (
http://forum.tales-cless.org/index.php?topic=327.0
). That's why I didn't get into a big spiel about why he's self-conscious, because I already knew his viewpoint from that thread. But still, my point was to say Legendia isn't
complete
garbage. Even though it's a matter of opinion, I think most sensible people will agree that calling something completely anything is a hyperbole.

Darius Gaiden
, also known as cheap Darius. Its better then all the others though but its not in the same league as G-Darius, IMO.
I'm pretty sure I already mentioned this but I'm playing
Final Fantasy XII
as well. I'm not very fond of the battle system but its okay, like Cless said its the first decent Final Fantasy after VI. FFT doesn't count >_>
Edit: Fixed.

No you are NOT playing the thirteenth Final Fantasy. Square hasn't even finished deciding on if it's going to be a multiplatform game or not.

I think FFXII has pretty much the best battle system in the FF series. It's realtime but still has active time elements. The gambit system takes out
so much
of the monotony and repetetiveness of menus. It actually makes support spells not annoying to use. You can set the characters to heal themselves after battle and everything. The AI only does exactly what you tell it to, so it automates most everything instead of forcing you to do the same commands over and over again. Also, battles integrated with the exploration field FTW!
The only major complaint I have is when it comes to attack magic. It seems like you don't get "target weakness" gambits for a VERY LONG TIME (I only managed to find a "target ice weak" gambit from a treasure in the field. Still can't buy the others and I've put in around 40 hours already.). You can set a mage to use assigned spells to other general attack conditions, but then their MP will run out quickly... Ethers still aren't readily available for me yet.
(I actually wish Team Symphonia would steal a little bit from this game. The 3D Tales battle system could work very well in an environment where the battles don't take place in a separate screen. An 'only does what you tell it to' programmable AI could also be a very good thing to introduce to the Tales series in general as well)
FFXII rocks. The full game is much better than that shitty demo with DQ8. Too bad Matsuno isn't there for FFXIII... I can only hope it turns out anywhere near as good as this (and gets ported to the 360).

i kinda liked FFX's battle system... it cut the bullshit out of the ATB system. FFXII's heads in a new direction entirely. one thing i sorta like is that buffs last between "battles", MMO style, since there aren't really separate battles. that makes them actually worth using.
now if only vaan weren't so fruity.

Whoops I mean 12, XII.

Yeah, one of things that did bother me was you don't get any good gambits until around later in the game. The only good oneyou have early for attack magic is if status condition is oil >_>
It might make the game easier, sure. But gambits are just programmable AI in disguise anyway.

Finally. Finally! I finally finished Twilight Princess. It was pretty good but I wouldn't call it "Game of the Year" good *gives an evil glare at a certain game site*. Maybe because I expected more from this game since it was delayed and expected more of an evolutionary step rather than rehash Ocarina of Time's concept. That aside, it was good and fun. I was glad I got a sudden spark to actually finish it. Oh yeah, the Cave of Ordeals can be tough, even when well prepared.
Only thing new I'm playing is
Mega Man X: Command Mission
(GCN). It's not a bad game and I figure I can breeze through it.

At the behest of a friend, I'm playing
Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance
(the GBA one with Juste). It's my first Castlevania game ever, and uhh... I'm not very good at platformers. Oh well, I'll try beating it anyways.
As usual I'm always playing
Ragnarok Online
, too. Also been watching a family member play
Final Fantasy XII
, and enjoying every minute of it. Balthier is awesome, and I'm disappointed the battle system isn't going to get continued in the series. I'd comment more but it'd just be a rehash of what most other people have already said on here.

I just happen to find the AC Adaptor my NES needed just from visiting my sister's place. I didn't think I would find it there but I did.
To go with that, I pulled out my NES Advantage (And I'm fully aware I'm being a complete joystick jocky) and started playing the Zelda series' black sheep. You know,
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
(NES). I still find it fun, despite every enemy wanting to make sure Link dies hard. It even gets me thinking. With Twilight Princess and how I didn't really like how, despite being good, they pretty much made a complete rehash. Also taking in that Zelda II got the black sheep status for being the only Zelda game that's way different from other games, I was thinking. Would Nintendo be willing to try something different from the Zelda norm, gameplay wise, like Zelda II did? Or are they too scared to do that again due to Zelda II causing a "What the heck?" reaction?
I'm also playing
Wild Arms 2
(PS1). Uhh...yeah. I went there (*points out that this game got panned*).
I'm also going to jump back into my PS2 Tales of Symphonia playthrough.

One thing I'm trying to figure out is why TP gets
so much crap
for apparently being a "rehash". It's only the 4th game that's used the OoT model in
10 years
, and it had also been 4 years since the last one.. No one cares when it's a new 2D game. No one cares when they release Megaman CEMENT XP 2830947238. No one's complaining about Metal Gear Solid 4 or Devil May Cry 4. But apparently OoT model Zelda is tired and needs to be put to rest. There aren't even many clones out there. I didn't hear anyone complaining when Super Mario World came out, either.
Anyway, on topic...
Still enjoying
FFXII
, though
Guruvegan was an absolutely
awful
dungeon
.
I spent a few days trying to complete everything possible in the
Puzzle Quest
PC
demo
. I've ordered the DS version because it's incredibly awesome and one of the biggest surprises in awhile. Going to replace it with the PC version when it becomes available, though. Large link text because this game deserves more exposure.
And well, to help contain my excitement of the upcoming Wii version of
Resident Evil 4
, I'm playing around with the GameCube version again.
