Oh man, Steam's holiday sale...the worst time for impulse buyers because of impulse buys! At least I got some stuff out of it. I did end up buying Super Meat Boy again due to the sale. Don't play it unless you are ready for an insanely difficult game. You may end up swearing alot. I know I did when I played it via Xbox 360. That's why I'm not ready to do it again just yet.
First of all, I'm playing an old PC game I've been wanting to play for some time...
Deus Ex
. I remembered hearing about this great game where you go through your objectives in any matter you see fit, whenever you want to take the stealth route or just plain out use force. It's certainly as great as it was made out to be because I'm really enjoying it that Steam already said I spent 2 hours playing it already.
Also, I'm playing
Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon
(GBC). That's right. I'm playing the original spin off game (I even busted out my Gamecube just so I can play it on a TV screen when I don't feel like using my GBA SP while lying down in bed) and enjoying it! I'm in Cless's timeline, going after Maxwell! I'm also just mastering as many costumes as I can while I'm at. Let's just say I'm so bent on getting Mel the Mint and Arche costumes while getting Dio the Cless costume as well as the Heihachi costume (and Heihachi isn't even my main in Tekken 6).

I'm playing New Vegas because I borrowed it from my friend before I get my own copy post-Christmas. He says he's losing interest in WRPGs (he also played Dragon Age and was wholly-unimpressed with it) and wants to sell it. So I figured I'll keep it warm and get a head start on my own journey. Right now, I am Kenshiro with Guns. If you are evil, I will make your head explode. Good times.
I know for a fact I'm getting Super Robot Wars L for Christmas, so the likely situation is I'll disappear from the entire internet for a week or so. This way, I'll give you guys a break from my horrible, horrible personality. Everybody wins!

Oh man...help me! I'm playing through Super Meat Boy again when I don't intend to! Well, at least I got to have some fun seeing Tofu Boy suck badly! But I'm not ready to excessively swear again due to this game!
(I'm also wishing I got a screen cap of the first time I booted up PC Super Meat Boy where a screen popped up saying Keyboard vs gamepad with a picture of an Xbox 360 controller and under it saying the debate with farce spoiler alert saying, "Gamepad wins!")
Still playing the same games while jumping back into my fighting games (Super Street Fighter IV and Tekken 6, mainly).
Also...must resist the Steam sales! (I ended up buying Lego Batman thanks to that and probably going to sneak in somehow)

Been playing the Nintendo DS remake of
Lufia 2
,
Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals
. It's very different from the original, and while the story feels like it's the focus of the game, the pacing is a little off. Probably because I'm supposed to be playing it in bursts rather than in long sessions. One thing is certain, however: Dekar is a universal constant. He may look different now, but he's still the same piece of greatness. At present I have beaten the game once already, and I'm now in New Game+ mode for the extra content.
Just got the Priphea flower.
I'm also playing a little bit of
Dragon Quest IX
on the side, since I can't
complete
the game until all of the DLC quests are released, which'll be around halfway through next year. Whoops. Still, it's a good game and I've really enjoyed it. Next game I tackle will either be 4 Warriors of Light or Golden Sun: Dark Dawn. Haven't decided yet.

Picked up
Resonance of Fate
because amazon had it for $16 with free shipping (and still do). They must want to get rid of it if they're giving out super saver shipping without it being over $25.
I dunno, something about it looks sorta interesting to me, even though I don't really like steampunk things so much. Must be the guns and Nolan North. I haven't really started playing yet either but I'm looking forward to flashy gunfight battles.

Shuffling between 3 games:
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
- Two days ago, I felt like I
had
to buy at least one thing so I picked this up for $15. I still need to get used to the battle system. It seems that just charging at the enemy won't do you good when it has that yellow shield thing. How do I break it? I should also pick up SO1, 2 and 4 sometime in the future.
ActRaiser
- Hey, it's that SNES game where you're
God
the Master and you have to put
Satan
Tanzra back in his place. I just finished saving Bloodpool...now I need something that can stop the quarrels that are raging on in there.
Batman Returns
- A beat em' up based off the movie of the same name. Everything was going fine but then I got my butt kicked by Catwoman. She. Is. Cheap. I mean really, really cheap. Her whip is overpowered and she has this one move that seems impossible to dodge which takes out like half your health...but I won't give up.
I accepted eBay into my life and ordered
Final Fight 3
. Should I also grab the second one? Oh and more games should be coming in...provided that luck is on my side regarding a few auctions.
P.S: Happy New Year.

You did read the tutorial right? You need to use Strong type of attacks (The ones that make a purple afterimage of your character) in order to break Anti-Attack Barriers. Bear in mind enemies can do the same against your Anti-Attack Barrier as well.
Oh yeah, the tutorial battles are considerably more difficult than your actual real first battles. Don't sweat it if you lose.

I have finally freed myself from the clutches of
Lufia: Curse of the Sinistrals
. I'm still missing Dragon Eggs 5 and 7 (too lazy to do those boss battles right), but I got the NG+ ending so I'm satisfied. The second thing Dekar is best at is keeping me going as far as I intended to!
I've yet to decide which out of
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn
and
4 Warriors of Light
to play next, and I might just skip straight to
Ghost Trick
when I pick that up as soon as the copy I had to special-order arrives. It got a very limited printing run in Australia so it's not available in stores off the shelf
at all
.

Finally started on
3D Dot Game Heroes
. I didn't want to start the game until I made my own character...it was not as easy as I hoped. For now, I'm going to stick said character and make a V2 version of him with fixed proportions later since I have been dying to finally play this game. That and I have a headache from the ordeal.
EDIT: Would you guys recommend the Shadow Hearts trilogy? Saw them at GameStop and I could use some more RPGs.

Outside of playing Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon (and a bit more rapid fire here).
Half-Life
(PC). The classic PC FPS from 1998. That's all I need to say. Half-way through it though.
Halo: Reach
(Xbox 360). Look, it's not my favorite FPS series or is it my favorite FPS (that honor goes to the original Perfect Dark). However, I will say I do enjoy Halo. I'm also half-way through this one.
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
(PS3). Yes, I'm actually enjoying it. The story's very good. Considering the fanbase I'm praising Enslaved around, "I'm already dead!"
I admit, that last one was a lead in to the fact I happen to be playing
Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage
(Xbox 360). Yeah, it's a Dynasty Warriors game. Yes, I know its gameplay is pretty shallow. However, I think the license at least makes the game more enjoyable. Making goons' heads explode just from punching them at least feels satisfying in the shallowest sense. Though, I really do not like the bland rock music used for the game. In fact, custom soundtrack is the big reason I'm playing this game on the system I'm playing it on. Sure, all I'm doing right now is putting the iconic theme song on repeat but I still prefer that over the game's soundtrack (In fact, I even saw a part of the game where there was a remix of the theme song and it was awful). If anything, I'm surprised I'm enjoying it (custom soundtrack helps) but that doesn't mean I'll bother playing more Dynasty Warriors games! (On another note, the Fist of the North Star game I actually want to play is
Arc System Works' fighting game
)
Oh yeah. Just because I had to quote it from the theme song. "You wa shock!"

I just finished
Sharin no Kuni: Himawari no Shoujo
and its fandisc, which is a damn good visual novel if you can get past the ero elements. Unfortunately, thanks to being a bishoujo eroge, trying to explain the story is embarrassing since doing so makes it sound like something it (quite thankfully) isn't.
Haven't played much of anything else in the last couple months.

Get 3. It might not have the total story connection to the whole thing, but it's still a good game, anyway. At least, that's what I like to delude myself into thinking, anyway.
I've just been playing SRWL. My component hookup for the PS2/3 snapped off, so I'm going to get an HDMI for the PS3 at some point, and use Composite for the PS2 and Component for the 360 (it's one of those multitap TV things; it also has a thing for the Wii/GC).
I SHOULD play my 360 now that it's out of the closet for once, but...I dunno, I'm just really, really lazy and tired and sore and not feeling well this week.

Lots of Touhou Hisotensoku for me. it's the one 2D fighter that i'm good at! (or at least compared to the computers). It feels weird playing it compared to Scarlet Weather Rhapsody though (especially the changed warp distance with Sakuya), but it's a lot better. I'm trying to get more spellcards for Meiling though; i really liked her play style during the story mode.
I've also been playing Dissidia more lately in preparation for Duodecium. Onion Knight FTW!!
