I'm expecting to be lynched after this post - but I feel like spreading the love so I'll say it anyway.

I scored me a PS3 the other day.  It came with the generic "Sony presents: a new 40Gig console in a box," 1 game out of a choice of 5 [I went with Rachet and Clank] and I got Uncharted and an HDMI cable on the side...Don't worry it gets better!!!

Thanks to a promotion my local video game store has going on - 200$ off a new console when you trade in 8 games - AS WELL as some obscene amount of store credit I accumulated over the year.  My grand total for EVERYTHING was a measley one-hundred-and-sixty dollars. 

Talk about a bargain this was practically highway robbery!!!  At least now I don't have to be a victim of that endless "which one is better" debate seeing as...well...I have all 3 *LOL* 

Now - bring on my favorite sequels [DMC, MGS, RE etc] as well as two FF13's [even though Versus has "Kingdom Hearts Man" behind it I'll pray we won't see any "familiar character" cameos] 

In all, 2008 is looking VERY promising thus far!!

lmao 8 games? I hope they were games you ever hated. Cause that is waaay too many to trade without hitting a game you loved. ;-;

Oh believe me there were a few - nothing a little time and patience can bring back  [maybe even for cheaper than when i first bought them *LOL*]  At very least I managed to play through them once so I don't think I've missed out on much.  The ones I can remember are: Front Mission, Chocobo Tales, FFXII Revenant Wings [bleh] Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, and the three Dot Hack GU games. 

A pity really but sometimes sacrifices have to be made for the greater good.
