Like all things, they have their ups and downs.  Nobody is down and out yet, just give them some time, the next gen of gaming is still young.  For the moment, I agree with what you're saying, but things'll get better.

Well, the Xbox 360 has been out for a year now and it has a pretty solid lineup so far.. though I wouldn't expect much recognition here, most JRPG players really tend to isolate themselves to that single genre. But even then, the 360 has about half a dozen really strong-looking JRPGs coming out in the next year..

Well they are over glorified. That is true. Since their launch titles aren't even that great but people start going "OMG! Wii is the best system! Even if it only has 2 great games so far!!!!1"

There's also a lot of hate into them as well. Once more games come out they probably won't be too bad but otherwise yeah...

Yeah, I play games, not systems. So while I don't see a reason for the hype (though Wii has some interesting potential to change the formula), it's still early to pass any judgement. Systems shine the brightest towards the end of their run, traditionaly.
