OK, 2 days ago, an accident befell my PSP and now it's something along the lines of this:

I know that I need a new LCD screen. My option seems to be Ebay. Is has anyone ever purchased anything from Ebay? I'm iffy about online shopping.

ebay heavily favors buyers compared to how sellers are treated from what I hear. I sometimes buy a few games from ebay. Sellers with close to 100% positive feedback are usually reliable; you can be almost sure you'll get your item. There are exceptions, especially with international sellers from my experience.

Also if you don't get your item, you can usually file a claim with paypal through ebay's buyer protection program and it works out in your favor a lot of the time.

Very reliable.  Be smart about who you buy from - you'll almost for sure get your item if you buy from a reputable one.

Okay, my second question. How do I pay when it comes to online shopping?
*Has never purchased ANYTHING online.

P.S: How does buying stuff on Ebay work(step-by-step)? In my case, I click "Buy Now!".

ebay prefers you have a paypal account. Go to paypal.com and set one up. I forgot how it works but I think they prefer you to give them your checking account number and bank so that way they have a confirmed source of funds to make payments on your behalf. It will take a few days for them to confirm with your bank that your account can send and receive payments. They'll do a series of deposits and withdrawals from your account, usually a cent or a few cents, to confirm this, then they will tell you when your account is ready. Just follow all directions when setting up the account. If you're wondering, paypal is used because paypal will handle payment so you don't have to reveal your credit card number to the seller.

Then when you buy something on ebay, the ebay page afterward will give you a link to log in to your paypal account (your ebay account from which you are placing the bid/buying the item is separate from your paypal account). From there you log in and it will automatically direct you to a order confirmation page. Once payment is done, it should lead back to the page saying payment was sent. The seller will probably send a payment confirmation e-mail to you. Then you wait until you get it, test out the item, then leave feedback so the seller will leave feedback for you and boost your reputation. Some sellers don't like new users with no feedback, so make sure your first few sellers will accept you.

personally, i would probably use a credit card account and not my bank account for paypal... i'm just not so sure about the whole giving them my bank account info thing.

Yeah, up to you when you sign up. I forgot, but there's most likely an option when you sign up. Whichever makes you feel safer.
