Use DVDScan 3.7 to patch it then add a dummy file to have a >1 gig image and burn it

I also tried this program but a funny error appears

and I cant patch it. On the other hand in my friend it was patch successful with that program but when we burn the patched ISO (made in Nero) the game don't boot on my or his PS2 from DVD

I already lost my hope for doing something like this  Sad

Try following these instructions. At a glance, they look pretty much the same as the instructions I used (I can't find my original reference). I've managed to make successful DVD backups every time (so far at least - namely for Disgaea PAL, Taito Legends and Monster World Collection).

You can't just rebuild your game in Nero like that, most ps2 games have a certain LBA (offset where files start and end) so you need to keep it the same or it won't boot. To get this LBA table use Isobuster

Here is a more complete tutorial : http://www.console-exploi...ms/showthread.php?p=31859
It's not about patching cd2dvd but many steps are the same, don't forget after you extracted the files from your iso to run DVDScan 3.7 on all of them, even if there are subfolders. You will be notified anyway if a file doesn't contain data that needs to be patched

(You need a program called cdgenps2)

About your error, do you have Visual Runtimes 5.0 and 6.0 installed?

Why not just use an ISObuster and replace all of the files into a DVD based ISO.

then burn the DVD ISO, use DVD decrypter to encrpt it permenentlly, then repeat the ISO buster rebuilding.

theoritically it will work fine...

I have a copy of TTT myself so I will test it for you. It was one of the first games to come out on ps2 so maybe it has some really weird code that can't be detected by patchers and you have to do it manually

Edit : Ok the tools can't find any offset to patch in the file SLUS_200.01, that's the reason it won't work
You really have to patch the file manually. Here is the line : 0x000B6620 sceCDGetDiskType

However when I try to go to 000B6620 (hex) there is no such function. Really weird stuff

So I looked up some ps2 dev document and saw this :

 r = (cdGetDiskType() == CDVD_TYPE_PS2DVD) ? CDVD_MEDIA_MODE_DVD : CDVD_MEDIA_MODE_CD;
 cdSetMediaMode(r);

I don't understand that function, but I guess it fixes whether homebrew/game should run form CD DVD or both? Maybe if someone with some knowledge could shed some light on this ...

This is a patch released by Paradox to enable Swap Magic to work, so it doesn't really help us here

::::Majinrengokusatsu::::
no offense but:
when my beloved PS2 SCPH-30004 R got a real problem reading CD-games ;/ so that why I tried to convert games to DVD cuz when I hear like my PS2 trying to read that TTT I got tears in my eyes like something gonna break inside terrible sound wusshhhhhhh wushhhhhhh crack etc. ;/

if I got enough money to bought a new one I probably don't wont to use CD games too much waste of laser ;/

thought there aren't many games on CD uff but that damn Tekken is really annoying  Wink

::::Kogahazan:::: thanks for the point  Cheesy Cheesy

::::Leiw:::: so that patch is worthless after all damn  Undecided

You know you could always just order a new lens and install it on your ps2

Or you could install a HDD + Network Adapter and try to find a application called HDLoader/HdAdvance
Then transfer your image to the HDD and not have to worry abotu damaging your lens Smiley

It worked for me and I have the original Hdloader v1.0 disc
