I've had my PS2 for almost five years now and never had a problem at all with it besides it's refusal to read some of the crappy video DVD's I burned on cheap media. I recently got myself a replacement with a blue case and modchip to play imports, but my old one is completely fine still and I plan on giving it my cousin for her birthday.

I am still using a first generation launch fatty ps2. The lens has had some issues and needs to be cleaned every once in a while, but it is fine as long as I keep dirty rental games away from it. Other than that it is working fine and it has been modified as well. It might be one of the few first gen and regularly used ps2's around haha.

My only one... And the only in the entire world who happened of audio failure... past 10 minutes of gameplay and audio is gone.... cause: No one knows...

But now is fine. Working flawless and keeping strong against my countless homebrew testing.

I'm on my second PS2.  My first I got a little after the initial release.  It was still in perfect working condition when I went off to college.  I decided to buy myself a new slim PS2 a few years ago to take with me since my sibilings refused to let me take the PS2 from home.  They've barely played it since. Still got the one my parents bought to play DVDs and for me to ease the pain of moving away from my original home in 2001(I was eight or nine when the move occured). Even after modding it for Swap Magic, it plays fine. Of course, if it ends up breaking, I'll probably cave in and work my butt off for a new one.

Still on my first. A żV6 model? 300001R. Still work good, even can read DVD perfect. Its Modded with Apple2 (Not a megachip, but i can play online with it). Use mainly HD, but im too lazy to remove the HD and charge games, so i charge them in the PS2.

I've got two.

One is my PAL launch model, but it's been through surgery many times in order to live and it's pretty much singing the song of destruction now and waiting for its ticket to that island gaming consoles and harddrives go to when they... yeah... When they go on vacation

I've got two, but both of them still work. My first one actually still works flawlessly, with no problems whatsoever. However, it was apparently so old that no good modchip would work with it, so I got a new one for that. The irony is that the new one has some freezing issues and such, while the old one is as good as ever =/

I'm on my second PS2.My first one was the one I bought when the PS2 was first launched, but then died 3 years later.

This second one seems to be holding out fairly.
