I loved Star Ocean 2! lol I popped it into my playstation recently and was surprised on how bad the graphic were for even being 2D. I never noticed how smooth 2D graphics could be till I played Guilty Gear X.

Are those graphix really the limit of the DS? If not, SquareEnix is really getting corrupted by money for sales, and not putting effort to re-making the game.

It's not really that bad, only thing I really want to see and concerned about is the game play and battle, it be revealed hopefully in TGS

Frankly, I find this disturbing in many levels. These time spent on remakes to get more money from us is fine once in a while but it's happening quite often. I totally agree that the game looks good and all but how much "new" can they add without messing up the original, and if it's even worth the time & effort(4 them or us).

If people are too cheap to get a Snes(Emus/roms) and play this great classics then it doesn't make sense to buy this to begin with. They steal old games ideas but instead they now make a "better" version of Classics by improving their looks and a few additions(this could've been used on new games). I'm fine with this once in a while but now i gotta wonder if there's gonna be a remake or an actual brand new game coming out.

Again, I'm happy with this, but I just don't agree with fan(wallets) abuse. They should do this with maybe super old systems like Atari, or Nes even(of course games that never made it here are welcome regardless of the system). This happens cause of people buying into this nonsense but that's just my opinion.

Love the Tales/FF/DQ/SO series so I know it's good to see them here or on newer systems. I just think it's getting a little ridiculous(cheap).

This is probably not the last time you will see fan wallet abuse, after they remake 5 and 6 they will probably go back to 4 again in the future probably for the final time use the character arts in the scan and make a full graphic game like FFX and up  Wink

Ya, it kinda getting a little ridiculous but it all good I guess Grin, I am just guessing they want to keep us fan occupied for the time being until FF13 which probably wont release until next year Christmas or to 2010? Who knows when Huh

Hmm how much new can they add: Graphic update, voice acting, character with emotions, more story and plot, skill wise they have improve a lot I guess?, Not trying to be mean but that A LOT in my dictionary, probably more.

The original was from the snes and it was remake to ps and gba and I think wonderswan, I don't really call that remake it more of a port with added stuff. And I am probably going to get a long paragraph by someone saying I am wrong when they reply to this message, but why are people saying port and remake is the same thing? How I see it is that Port is the Original version with add stuff and feature; but a remake is revamp improvement and appearance of everything beside story wise.

A lot of cute little add ons and whatnot, but not enough unless i missed the game in the 1st place. Keeping us busy until newer ones come out granted, but the cheap folks/companies will be there regardless. It's not all bad but I had to point out some of the garbage since nobody else was. Sometimes this is cool to do(remakes) as I mentioned earlier, but why spend 20-100 hrs.(again) on a game played/beaten before on top of paying for it again just cause it looks and/or plays better? It's just my opinion, but it would have to be a heck of an improvement(and game) to get me interested(again). Improvements or not, it's the same game with the same fights and/or story with some extra ones perhaps. Adding to the story? What? It wasn't done right the 1st time? Not to be mean, but "sure I'll play this version and this time it'll be good" won't get a lot of new fans. This is fine and dandy, but looking into this remakes is a must cause I have seen my share of crappy ones, and there's a bunch out there. Port, remake, call it what u want, it still the same game. Just one guy's opinion on a forum though, not trying to start a debate or saying who's right or wrong, or hurt anyones feelings cause I might not agree fully with this so take it or leave it.
