I'm not even sure if there was one. Anyway, no news in regards to Tales. Just Enslaved, Naruto, Pac-Man Party and some Wii shovelware.

I believe this part here is the culprit. It needs to be able to project a different display for either eye to make the 3D effect work, which likely limits how high it can go for now. Which is ironic, because Big Boss loses his eye in Metal Gear Solid 3.

That's pretty much the thing with stereoscopic images. You're going to have to sacrifice half the horizontal resolution to overlay the two differing images if you want to preserve the colours. I'm just rather intrigued in the filter used to mask off the images between the eyes.

As for the poor resolution, the thing is, we're comparing a 3.5" to a 4.3" screen which the PSP uses. The PSP has a screen resolution of 480*272. Here's an overlay showing the differences in the resolutions:

In terms of actual dots per inch, I think the screens are almost equal.

I suspect the decision to have a minor improvement in resolution comes down to:
Power usage
Cost

I don't think physical dimensions is that much of a problem, the DSiXL seems to be a reasonable size so they could have gone for a larger screen, but who knows? I'll be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed that they didn't increase the screen resolutions for both screens. Even if the main contention was actually in the visual degradation in small scale upscaling of the DS titles, I personally feel that a 320*240 screen is pitifully small and a really big limitation in the UI designs you can have if you want to use the lower screen as a pure UI. Anyhow, useless to complain about those decisions here.

I honestly don't think LovePlus will ever make it out of Japan. I'm still waiting for IdolM@ster, dammit!

As most of you are at least as nerdish as I am Cheesy, you'll probably already know this, but I thought I'd mention it any way, for good measure

on the official goldeneye-remake site, there is an NDS mentioning under the tab "game overview".

Might this mean there's a port of the original coming to NDS?

I really hope David Wise is on the Donkey Kong Country soundtrack.
Interview at IGN says Kenji Yamamoto is doing it again for Retro ("use the familiar melodies but bring them into a more contemporary sound"). This is odd having a Metroid game without him (but some anime composer), and a DKC game without Wise. =/

No. Very boring stuff from Namco, even when putting aside the lack of Tales.  Undecided

Why is this posted on the E3 thread... ?

Anyway the closest thing you'll get out of a Valkyrie Profile 3 is Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume, which is for the Nintendo DS.

Otherwise, no new VP has been announced as far as I know.

Well...hrm. Wise will most definitely be missed, but if there was anyone else at Nintendo to be chosen as an alternative, Yamamoto would be my pick. That man makes some brilliant atmospheric tracks as well.

I'm getting a mix of RE Gaiden and RE3.5 in that trailer. Obviously cruise ship was Gaiden's setting (and Dead Aim's <_<) and the concept of 2 Chris' hints at that game's plot where you had a BOW that could mimic people/take on a human form. RE3.5 originally had the characters getting infected by the progenitors virus and one of the elements of the virus (besides for turning into a zombie and itchy tasty) is paranoia and delirium hence the whole Chris and Jill not trusting each other. Chris' line "you'll have to kill me to find out" obviously can be taken as him saying "if I'm infected you'll find out after shooting me"
