I caught this last night on a board that keeps slinging crap at it cuz of OMFG THE GFX. The PDF said only for PS3.

I'm disappointed cause this so far looks it could've easily been done on the PS2 and Wii. Unless they've tapped the PS3 in ways that isn't obvious in screenshots, which is the case with all their SRPGs on PS2 (they look like PS1 games), which track far too many variables to store on a PS1 memory card.

That said, I will not spend more than $300 on a console to play this game. I believe NIS has made a horrible decision with this.  If they're really going to stay in bed with Sony even with Nintendominance, they should have put it on the PS2, which would still be playable on the PS3 through backwards compatibility.

Aren't they selling this at full price? Which is kind of odd for a PS3 game as I'd expect it to be on the PS2 or Wii. :/

I don't know what "full price" is but Gundam Musou is 7800 yen MSRP while the PDF said 6800 yen for Disgaea 3.

On the other hand, I remember the MSRP for Valkyrie Profile being 6800 yen as well while it was priced at 39.99 when it came out here.

Yeah the PS3 is a bad console to release it on though this and MGS4 are my only motivations on considering a PS3.

Though if the PSP release is true, I wouldn't mind that at all.

As for PS3, what about Shirokishi Monogatari? Sad

On topic: I'm sort of taken aback by the fact this is a PS3 game. Perhaps if it were a Playstation network download like Idea Factory did with their Japan only Xbox Live Arcade downloadable S-RPGs, but as a $60 game I would feel sort of ripped off. The PSP Disgaea isn't Disgaea 3, as of now it's actually called Disgaea PSP. Cless said that the NIS S-RPGs looked like PS1 games... This is sort of true, but they would be shiny PS1 games. Tongue

Disgaea 2, maybe, but that's only because it runs in 640x480. The others aren't much of a step up from Final Fantasy Tactics.
