A FFXII nit-pick [pre and post game spoilers]

I know it might be a bit late for this but I've noticed this when I started playing it again. 

Remember in the beginning when "Basch" kills Rekks?  As soon as they start carrying him off he was yelling......and honest to god it sounds like Gabranth's voice minus the canned helmet. 

How/why and when on earth did they switch places with each other!?  [Or did they???]

funny you should mention that.....

he is Garbranth, who is Basch's twin brother.  He acted as if he was Basch so that he wouldn't get blamed.

Which makes sense I guess. 

Now, how on earth did Basch end up in Nalbina.  [Remember that scene where your party finds him in that hanging cage all scruffy-like?]  And Gabranth end up all buddy buddy Judge-like with Vayne?

Basch showed up right after his brother left, and as they say, "wrong place, wrong time"

also, I looked up the stats, and Reks gets higher stats throughout the game than Vaan ever will without licenses!
