Cless, I'm just wondering, how much are you looking for just straight translation versus localization from us?  I mean, I can do either, but are you looking just for meaning so that you can change the lines yourself or should I actually try to make these sound better myself?  Just curious.  I just started looking through this like 2 minutes ago, I'll post more as I get to it.

From ToD2block1.txt:

<LINE>
From the far reaches of space, a raging comet is summoned. Forbidden Technique.
TP consumption and Aria Casting Time is out of the ordinary.

I'm not sure of all the varieties of magic in ToD2, but the last part of the first line basically says 'forbidden, cursed technique'.  So do with that what you will.  For the second line, I'm assuming that I'm assuming that an Aria is like a spell.

Sylph's Tear maybe?  If you wanted it to be one word, Sylphistia would be about the best I can come up with.

Power is drawn from within the depths of the black abyss.
High Level Technique.

The Thunder of Holy Judgement delivers a crushing blow.
High Level Technique.

Creates a raging tempest that annihilatates its target.
High Level Technique.

A purifying fire is called forth from ages long past.
High Level Techique.

A purifying fire sleeping since before the dawn of time.
High Level Techique.

Imprisons the enemy in a coffin of ice, 'Certain Death' is given.
High Level Technique.

^ I don't like this one, I'm sure you don't either... I'll work on it.

Focuses the power of the Earth (ground), then unleashes it.
High Level Technique.

A radiant spear pierces the enemy, followed by many more.
Mid Level Sublimation Technique.

Creates a blazing wind that blows away the enemy. Mid Level Sublimation Technique.

Concentrates the heat of the Earth (ground), creating a local eruption.
Mid Level Sublimation Technique.

The crushing power of an icy wind smashes into the enemy. Mid Level Sublimation Technique.

Using hydraulic pressure, an enormous slab of rock is dropped.
Mid Level Sublimation Technique.

Entraps the enemy with power of Daemonium.
Mid Level Technique.

I think Symphonia did this as Daemonium, but that's up to you.

//プリズムフラッシャ<END>
Glittering Prism<END> //may be missing the point here... but I don't like the literal or "prism flash" all that much...
^ This isn't what we usually see as Prism Sword, is it?  It certainly sounds like it.  Here's the description:

光の洗礼を受けた七色の剣が降り注ぐ中級晶術<END>
Swords baptized in the seven colors of light rain down. Mid Level Technique.

Okay.

Sylph's Tear looks kind of obvious but I really can't see anything that really supports it, based on the graphics.

Then I just remembered a few minutes ago. Tier. Then I watched the video with its effect again. You could possibly make an argument from one or two of its meanings.

But even so, that still sounds kind of funny to me. But maybe it doesn't in the real world. Can't say I'm an expert with that word.

As for literal vs. localized... I greatly prefer localized, but a literal one could be something for editors to work on. I can edit to a certain degree but my level of cleverness really isn't that great.

//プリズムフラッシャ<END>
Glittering Prism<END> //may be missing the point here... but I don't like the literal or "prism flash" all that much...
^ This isn't what we usually see as Prism Sword, is it?  It certainly sounds like it.  Here's the description:

Is it...? I wasn't really aware... I'd better research that.

I'm not positive about Prism Sword, but from the description, it really sounds like it.  It's at least worth checking into.

I'll try to go back and edit some of these to sound less... literal.  I usually do two translations of everything.  Once literal so that I understand it completely, then I do it again to make it sound more normal in English.  So what you're seeing here is mostly first translation stuff.

Sylph's Tier could work.  It matches the kana, but it still seems a bit odd for an attack name.  Though I agree with you, Sylph's Tear really doesn't match the effect of the attack.  So I don't know, it might be better to come up with something that sounds close to it but sounds good.  Though if nothing else, I don't have anything against Sylph's Tier.

Whoops, I just noticed something I missed.

For the following 4 spells (Shining Spear, Heat Vortex, Crushing Gust, and Ceiling Fall), these are different from normal Mid Level Technique.  They have this kanji set <昇華> which means 'Sublimation'.  So technically they're called 'Mid Level Sublimation Techniques'.  I'm not sure what makes them different than normal Mid Levels though.  Cless, do you know?

Prism Sword vs. Prism Flasher.

Tales of Symphonia and Abyss both have a spell called Prism Sword in the Japanese versions.

But both of those games came after Destiny 2. Is there even a faint possibility that they chose to rename the spell? I can't get any evidence from Rebirth or Destiny PS2 as they don't seem to contain either spell...

Hm... It's certainly possible that they could have renamed it.  I could try and confirm it based on the descriptions, but I don't know where I'd get the the Japanese descriptions of the Symphonia or Abyss moves.  Do you by chance have a video of the ToD2 move?  We could at least see if it's the same effect.

I could've sworn that Shizel knew Prism Sword too.  I just though they called it Prism Flasher because they renamed all the other spells anyway.

No luck with Legendia either now that I look at it.

I don't have a capture card installed anymore so I can't get a screenshot or video of anything... argh.

Damn... Hm.  Well, I have Symphonia PS2, but I'm not nearly far enough to have Prism Sword...  Well, I'll just keep working on translating the other stuff for now and I'll see if I can find anything later.

^ I'm not sure about this description. Bloody Cross is hard to do without knowing more about the spell or having a picture...  I've never seen the spell.

Ah.  Well, I guess that settles that.  Still, I don't think you should use Glittering Prism.  Based on the description, I'd assume the attack is actually seven colored swords, not a prism itself.  So I don't know, but Prism Flasher might be better than the alternative.

For the sublimation thing, I think all of those spells are extensions so that might have something to do with it.  The description for Bloody Cross is good since that's literally what happens.

Sharp spears of ice target the enemy and strike one after the other.
Low Level Sublimation Technique.

Blades of wind spring forth, striking those within range.

^ This actually says 'the edge of a vacuum', but blades of wind just works better.

^ Can anyone tell me anything about this? I don't get it completely. And Stone Zapper is a strange name lol

Okay. I turned on ToD2 and observed the effect of 'prism flasher'.

Swords of random rainbowy colors rain straight down on the enemies. There's a flash in the sky relative to where they fall from.

Apparently Genis in my ToS games doesn't know Prism Sword (strike type move? :/) so I couldn't compare.

It's kind of like a localized Judgment spell.  Seven rainbowy swords rain down on the target into a pool of rainbow light.
