Pre-Alpha patch

Due to the way the patching works, I'm pretty sure what you were trying out is 100% identical to what I tested working before releasing the patches...unless there were write errors in the burn process, which are generally unlikely (but DO happen) and any decent burning program (like ImgBurn) will allow you to verify.

You said it could read "Japanese games" but didn't indicate whether those were burns or originals. If they are originals, well...the PS2 is going to have an easier time reading just about any original pressed disc in decent condition than any burn, regardless of region.

There are too many variables to pinpoint the source of a burned disc that's either not working or performing poorly.

Unless you have a slim PS2...if all else fails...HDLoader is your friend. ToD2 has no known issues with it.

I'm pretty sure the patch won't work with the PSP version.

Also, when you say your PS2 can play Japanese games ... How? Do you use some type of modding technique like Swap Magic, or do you use a Japanese PS2? Because if the latter, you won't be able to play patched games.

Hi, First of all Greetings for the job and what you are doing for many many fans in the whole world!

I had a problem and i would love an help, i downloaded all, i made the Iso from my game (Black Label Version) then i patched and it said all was good then my ps2 said this:  "Insert a Ps2 Games" like it didn't see the game, it's modded with Matrix Infinity... do you know why? thanks

Sounds like an issue with your PS2 or DVD media, not the patch.

1st of all, I would like to thank you, Cless for your efforts, and I really appreciate it, and so does the rest of the people who support this project.

But I do have a question, I would like to know if there's any patch that could translate the conversation?
Because when I browsed the section on the home page, there's a screenshot that says like this: "Hello Boys and Girls, The Tales of Destiny 2 translation won't just be a menu translation after all, Whoohoo!"

I think I may have missed something, and sorry, the only patch I have aquired so far is the menu translation.
And my apologies again, I'm so dumb when it comes to these links and matters...

There is only the menu translation patch out so far, as there won't be a complete script translation patch out until everything is done and polished to the standard we're after.

My name is Jean, and I'm from brazil. I'm one of the addicted guys from tales of destiny.. I played the first one for ps1 8 years ago... And now I want to play the ToD2...

As I can see, unfortunately we don't have the patch full for the ToD, but with the menu, it's fine!..

If it's not bothering anyone, I would like to know if someone knows when it will be posted or ready the full patch...

I'm so excited to play this game in english, so I can understand all the story...


One more time, thanks for the patch pre-alpha!!! My version is the mega hits..



AHHH, one question.. What's the difference between the original version and the mega hits version???

Well, I finally got to the "god's egg" and I must say it's pretty *****ing impressive  can't wait to complete it, even though the translations aren't 100% perfect (just certain enchant stuff is in kanji for me) I really can't ask for more from the staff @ this point.

After playing this game it easily became my fav Tales game in the series, and I probably wouldn't have played it w/o this pre-alpha patch, thank you all so much lol. Reading translations from the txt script sucked, but the menu saved my ass when it came to changing up strategy/enchant , I was surprised how much is already complete in the pre-alpha to be honest (seriously, it even has stat mods in Eng sub for all the titles I got so far ) If this is ever updated w/ a complete patch I'll even play it again and tell everyone it came from PP's hard work and effort
