I just dumped some additional text from the menu files that I wasn't able to dump before, and I'm focusing my efforts on it at the moment. It's not a great deal of text, so it's nothing much to be worried about.
Anyway, from the items menu...
#WRITE(asmptr, $209C)
// 6788

disappeared.<END>
(this message appears after either using up or throwing out an item. Is there something better we can use that will work for both cases?)

i assume these are for when items randomly are added to your inventory (magical pouch, etc). in that case...

I think it's something to do with the sound test or chats/skits.
Might be harmonizing/polyphonizing (music-wise) or bantering/repartee (talking-wise).
There's a more detailed note in my edits.

Is this really what that is? I can't tell a difference with it on or off... I can see the enemy's SP while targetting them regardless of setting.

Where is that found? It seems like it might be that it changes HOW the SP is displayed. I'm not sure how the game works, but does this setting change the position or the information displayed? It seems like it might be something like "Always Display Target Enemy SP", but I'm not positive. I'm not as good with these data fragments.

It's an option in the customize menu.
Maybe I'm just not being observant enough, but I swear I looked all over the screen for a difference...

maybe the difference is in the targetting cursor or on the enemy itself, and not in the info that pops up when you target something?
