I updated the menu text file archive in the opening post. It should be in-line with the patch released last night.

Yay a release, that is so awesome Cless. I can't wait to get home and give it a try. It is true that things have kind of been sagging around here despite your continued progress on your projects. I would recommend and update at RomHacking.net or something.

Maybe vortex heat's description has an error? Since it seems that extensions aren't supposed to even appear in the main spell list... but indeed, the Japanese description suggests it's an extension...

kyle has vortex heat as a normal spell for some reason, that's not an error. shadow edge shouldn't be an extension, though.

Just a question: were the Grade Shop modifications you talked about a while back put into the patch?

Hi people
Well First Cless thanks for the good work, it seems that is progressing slowly but step by step
and you will be there.
I patched my game, tried it and found the next issues:
- Monsters Names Doesn't Appear in English when a battle starts, but if you press R1 it'll appear in English.
- Some Enchants Description are not translated (Well maybe you haven't translated it yet).
Burned in generic DVD-R Media (Max Max) at 2x, played with modchip.
Well I Haven't got a lot of time to play with it but its nice to know what are you reading xD, in the sense that when I Played the game in Japanese I Needed to be with a paper in my hand to know which enchant I Was using and that Kind of Stuff, and this game is really awesome, it deserves a translation
Well if I Find another stuff I'll put my feedback here
Thanks a lot for the work to you and all the people that have helped with the translation

Hi guys, I'm new to the forums. I used to be a lurker here for years, though.
Anyway, firstly: Congratulations for your awesome job, Cless, as well the other members of the team and ocasional helpers. Really impressive and nice to see people putting so much effort for so much time in non-profit projects nowadays.
Secondly: I have a question. Is it possible to patch the DVD and not the ISO? I already had the game burnt in a DVD, but I had to format my computer last year. As a result, I lost the game I had downloaded. I could download it again, I know. But if there is a way I could use the patch.exe in my DVD and still apply the pre-alpha patch on it, I would be very grateful to know.
I hope you all could understand what I meant, since I'm not from an English-speaker country.
Keep up the good work and I'm cheering that everything goes well!

Use your DVD to make another ISO. It's fairly simple to do using a program such as ImgBurn.

They're not going to get much more clear than that. Post a screenshot of the command window after trying the patch.exe method.

Are you using the right patch, and are you trying to patch a Japanese game ISO?
And if so, are you:
Patching a plain, standard ISO created with ImgBurn? MDF and other proprietary formats won't work.
If so:
Are you SURE you're patching a clean image (xdelta3 has checks to make sure the file being patched is identical to the one the patch is based off of).
If you aren't / aren't sure:
We can't help you if you are trying patch an image not taken from a genuine ToD2 Japanese disc. These patches are based off of images taken directly from legal, retail copies of the game. We can't help it if there are ISOs floating around the web that have been corrupted or modified in some way.

In regards to what you say of the .MDF not working properly, it does. Try making everything the same file name, though this isnt required. There are also multiple versions of the games, and this might sounds a bit ridiculous, but make sure you arent trying to patch the US ToD2 in case you dont know which version you have. But i have successfully patched a .MDF and burned it, and it was working on my first try. Thank you very much for doing this cless
And please respond to that PM i sent you!!
